The week of the Suzuki Nine Knights MTB presented by G-SHOCK is over and we've had a bit of time to take a breath and look back at the week. This event is a bit different to your regular mountain bike event since it focuses on the videos and pictures that come out of it.


You've seen the clips, so you know it works. Between the heli session, some epic trail riding and the contest day, some amazing footage and pictures have come out of this event.


The riders get to show their best style and while there is a competition at the end, the entire week is more about fun and pictures than it is about competing... at least for the riders. The photographers do compete and a jury judges their work in different categories. Four amazing photographers were invited by host Andi Wittmann and man, did they deliver. Here is who won what:

Best Action Shot Big Air: Stef Cande (FRA)
Best Action Shot trail: Daniel Rönnbäck (SWE)
Best Black&White: Carlos Blanchard (ESP)
Best Creative Angle: Daniel Rönnbäck (SWE)
Best Lifestyle: Markus Greber (Ger)
Best “Wildkogel” Shot: Stef Cande (FRA)

Suuuuuperseater

The riders did compete in several categories over the week as well as on contest day. Here are the overall results:

Ruler of the week: Anthon Thelander (SWE)
Trick of the week: Shervy Pasamonte (SPA/INSANE SUPERMAN)
Best Trick on contest day: Yannick Graniere (FRA/BIG FLIP DOUBLEWHIP)
Best Line contest day: Martin Söderström (SWE)
Highest Hip Air: Kurt Sorge (CAN), Andi Wittmann (GER)
Best Whip: Louis Reboul (FRA)
Contour Relay Race: Kurt Sorge (CAN), Pierre Edouard Ferry (FRA)


You've already heard about the results from the contest day, but some riders showed exceptional performance throughout the entire week as well. Xavier Pasamonte's Superman is crazy extended, we'll definitely hear more about this guy in future. The same goes for Anton Thelander, who convinced the jury with his overall performance throughout the week.

 well aside for definitely having my vote for best edit to date - that had to be the gnarliest train anyone has ever seen. i can't even comprehend what just happened. especially when it showed the chest cam of whoever it was doing a superman and showing all the others doing massive tricks behind him. just... unreal

 I am in absolute awe and amazement, the things they were doing on their bikes was unbelievable. I reckon they broke the laws of physics a few times. Awesome on bike footage too, just as Contours should be.
