Nuke Proof Sam Hill Signature Components

The Sam Hill Signature Series has been developed in conjunction with five time downhill World Champion Sam Hill. Sam needs no introduction. He is widely regarded as one of the best riders of all time and as such, he knows what works best! The signature series is a no-compromise range of race ready components chosen and designed with direct input from Sam to be the best tools for the job.

Signature Mud Saddle
Nuke Proof Sam Hill Signature Components - Seat

The Sam Hill Series signature saddle design was inspired by Sam’s own motocross saddle and was created on Sams request: It’s most obvious feature is the pleated top cover which is designed to optimise grip in wet and muddy conditions. Made from a tough, durable Lorica material, it is tear resistant with Kevlar scuff guards on the outer corners to improve abrasion resistance. It features a smaller body than any other Nukeproof saddle, measuring in at 255mm x 127mm to maximise clearance and manoeuvrability on the bike. The smaller body, reduced padding and CrN Ti alloy rail compound, improve the strength-to-weight ratio. Weighing in at just 234g it is a lightweight contender, with a heavyweight punch.

• Size 255mm x 127mm
• RRP: £59.99

Signature Lock-On Grips
Nuke Proof Sam Hill Signature Components - Grips

The Sam Hill Series Signature Grip has been custom designed to Sam’s specification. It features a soft-compound Kraton rubber which has been moulded to Sam’s preferred, thickness and circumference with Diamond texture pattern and a MX inspired half waffle to optimise grip, comfort, control and riding confidence. Featuring CNC-machined 7000-series aluminium lock-rings for wet-weather peace of mind and built in bar end plugs, the Signature Grip is both comfortable and confidence-inspiring.

• 135mm Wide
• RRP: £21.99

Signature Riser Bar
Nuke Proof Sam Hill Signature Components

Sam has always been particular about his handlebar set-up: Manufactured from high grade 7075 aluminium for strength and featuring a shot-peen finish to maximise fatigue resistance, The Sam Hill Signature Riser Bars feature a 20mm or 38mm rise, 760mm width and a 9° back-sweep/6° up-sweep, to optimise ergonomics and deliver confident handling through the roughest of terrain. Although the bars were built for the rigours of world cup level DH competition they are light enough for any kind of riding at just 298g making for a strong, comfortable, lightweight and confidence inspiring handlebar.

• Rise: 20mm or 38mm
• 760mm wide
• RRP: £44.99

Signature Inline Seat Post
Nuke Proof Sam Hill Signature Components - Seat Post

Custom 3D forged from 7075 series aluminium for optimum strength, the signature seat post consists of a one piece shaft and lower clamp section topped with a cold-forged clamp head, with both the upper and lower clamp and rail assemblies CNC-machined in critical stress areas for superior strength and fatigue resistance. The 400mm long shaft is turn finished for quality and features an elliptical internal bore to further increase the strength to weight ratio without compromising structural integrity.

• Sizes available: 30.9mm, 31.6mm
• Length: 400mm
• RRP: £49.99

Signature Direct Mount Stem
Nuke Proof Sam Hill Signature Components - Stem

Precision CNC-machined from high-grade 7000-series aluminium, the Sam Hill Signature Series stem has been engineered for the optimum balance of light weight and stiffness without compromising structural integrity. Featuring a one-piece four-bolt face plate for maximum stiffness and security against bar slippage, it is compatible with RockShox BoXXer and most other fork manufacturers utilising the standard 4 bolt crown mount.

• Length: 45mm
• RRP: £59.99

"The Sam Hill Series signature saddle design was inspired by Sam’s own motocross saddle and was created on Sams request"

What?? He actually sits down during a race !!!
  • 4 0
I think the saddle is just to keep the seat post from going up his ass, because like z05m mentioned, he never sits down...
  • 72 0
Seat- 5% more bum grippage than normal, made with bullet proof Knolly-polen fabric and CrN Ti 2.2q metals.
Grips - 5% more rubber optimization with our ultra Kryptonian rare earth rubber blends.
Riser - 5% more curve-latude with 4.66 lean-back leverage points to optimize optimization.
Post - 5% more stiffness and optimization.
DM stem - 5% more stem-ocity. Hand-made in a CNC machine. Crafted from ultra grade T-3000 sun hardened metal.
Combined this gives you a total 80% performance boost. Scientifically proven with weight to weight ratios and science.
But only if you get them all. Right now.

 "Sun hardened metal" too funny!

Handmade in a CNC machine! I love the visual of some guy sitting inside a CNC forging parts.

haha me too- whats the real purpose though?
  • 3 2
It's for extra grip in the mud, so you don't slide off the saddle, at least that's what i understand, correct me if i'm wrong?
  • 47 1
It's to remove clinkers from your arse ,
  • 3 0
 Amen.
  • 6 0
What's the real purpose? Just underneath each picture there's an explanation!
  • 33 3
Sam's input and how it made a line of products with his name

"These bars are nice, they'll do"
SAM HILL endorsed bar
"I like this saddle, but is there a way to make it grippier in mud without attaching pieces of tires to them?"
SAM HILL, personalized saddle, his name will guide your junk to greatness
"This stem looks cool"
The SAM HILL stem, holds 14NM more torque due to awesomeness
"Man, these are flat pedals with pins, awesome"
SAM HILL signature Neutrons, please don't look at lat years pedals, they might actually be the same
"Oh, these grips, yeah, they were the ones on that bar that I thought was OK"
SAM HILL grips, rotate them backwards for actuated brap sound

Seriously, we all know this guy is an amazing rider, and I think that he's gonna be a real runner for some wins this next season, but seriously Nukeproof. We all know that you make good products, why not just let your team do the selling instead of trying to sell to all the fan boys.
  • 4 1
The prices are great, Chromag is really shit.
  • 2 0
Seriously schlockinz, they should hire you to sell this stuff. I want that seat now so it can "guide my junk to greatness".
  • 1 0
Works for the skate/bmx industry. Signature products are pretty common but they rarely have anything to do with their namesake or his preferences.

The signature Sam Hill T-shirt. Designed to live up to the casual afternoon expectations of Sam. Made with cotton and other rugged materials, guaranteed to help you crush it the night before and after your big race.

  • 18 1
£60 for a saddle!? Jog on!
  • 8 0
Its all nice but why the hell put your name where people sit or a place that is going to rub against "man parts"? its like putting your name down a toilet bowl . Wink
  • 4 0
The saddle is smart but not £60 smart. All the rest of the stuff is really cheap though I can see it selling fast.
  • 55 8
The amount of bullshit in the press release is stunning, input from Sam Hill? Anything he wanted? How about no, how about stopping the arse talk and just admit you've put Sam Hill stickers on the products you were already selling to shill Captain Eyebrows' name a bit more, because you spent a lot of money getting him and want some return as fast as possible.
.
Nukeproof bars and stems have been fine for years, I don't see why they're in such a rush to insult everyone's intelligence by putting a Sam Hill sticker on the Warhead line and calling it a signature series (saddle excepted).
  • 7 0
 WORD
  • 2 0
They did carve out the center of the warhead faceplate before putting his name on hit. I wonder if I can do that with mine?
  • 2 0
 I'm with you mang.
  • 2 1
those bars are also an exception considering sam likes his bars with more rise than average! othere then that i agree
  • 5 0
The bars are just Warhead hi-rise bars, they've been available two, maybe three years. Those exact numbers.
  • 17 2
Holy shit, you mean to say a business (ie. something that needs to make money to essentially remain a business) is using someones name, who they're paying to be on their team, to make money? What c*nts! There's no being modest in business man, you'd have yourself a shit business if you don't capitalize on your assets.
As if you weren't expecting it to be marketing hype more than anything else.
  • 1 1
 it called marketing who wouldn't
  • 2 0
The marketing of all bike parts is for the most part bullshit. Lets be real. Some part on a bike are more elaborate than others. Things like frame and suspension designs, wheels, bottom brackets, brakes, shifting etc have some genuine ingenuity and engineering involved. The real mechanical parts of the bike. All this static stuff though? Stems, bars, seatposts, clamps, seats, grips, etc are all the same. You bolt it on your bike and forget about it.
  • 17 2
 Norbs got robbed.
  • 1 1
hahahahah yea norbs name should be on there haha
  • 2 1
There's nothing wrong with signature parts so long as the pro rider spends time designing something original and different. For example pro or retired pro designed tires and grips or bars, where a great deal of time and thought was put into it. Slapping someones name on something which is exactly the same of some other product for a quick buck is insulting,
  • 29 5
I hate it when people run signature series parts on a bike. its frigged corny as hell.
  • 5 0
If its becuse they are signature yes. But if they look past the sig and buy things purely on design I don't see it as corny. I'm liking these bars. They come in my width and nice angles.
  • 3 2
Yeah thats what I think too , like this PRO line sunline/straight line made , dorky graphics and some dudes name all over your bike.
  • 1 1
I don't hate but do think its silly when people rock signature stuff unless its your own. Have the same feeling when company's use many large logos all over their product.
  • 2 1
I guess it depends on how you look at it. I don't look at signature parts as "sams parts" I just see them as another model or designed part.

If they have an identical part that isn't signature id probably opt for that. Unless the sig part looks better.
  • 1 1
sunline and strightline make completely different parts dude and yes it redicyulous for SAM HILL parts cmon
  • 1 2
They are just the standard parts with 'Sam Hill' written on them and with a higher price tag
  • 1 1
Danny, they cost exactly the same as the standard Warhead line. (I checked on the handlebars, i presume the rest are as well)
  • 19 0
"Precision CNC-machined from high-grade 7000-series aluminium, ... has been engineered for the optimum balance of light weight and stiffness without compromising structural integrity. " Wow, the cooky cutter disruption for every part sold these days. I'm thinking they can stop putting the word "precision" in front of CNC machined, we get that part already.
  • 8 0
And if you're going to call it lightweight, how bout some numbers.
  • 12 0
CNC Machined, unlike every other stem which is filed into shape.

seriously, its 2013, everything is machined.

so in other words "this stem is the same as every other stem, but its black and has a different sticker"
  • 6 0
The 3d forging bit is also quite funny, ever tried 2d forging ? I failed it in my eng class XD. Marketing stupidness is for the mass not Mountain bikers !! I can't wait to see him shred this season though.

Kinda odd how many people are upset that Sam has his own line of products. Just in case you can't figure out why he should have them, go to Youtube and watch any of the Earthed vids, then you'll know. Sam could come out with a line of cupcakes and I'd probably buy them. He's a rider who has been around the top of the sport when I just got into it and he's going to be there for a while. No reason to get butt hurt if he's getting paid for his name to be on some items here and there in order to sell products. Marketing my friends, marketing.
  • 16 0
It's weird watching people freak about signature stuff. Skateboarding its no biggy your reping your fave pro. But mountain biking every one flip dicks about it! Why I mean if te part is cool why care about te name it just shows you support him. It's weird to think that people dislike that in the most chill sport!
  • 12 1
 @tylerthegiant

good point

I've been heavily involved (as a participant, retailer and even a sponsored pro athlete) in skateboard, bmx, rollerblade, mountain bike, road for many years (since the 1970s)

"pro" signature products are very common in skateboard, bmx and rollerblade, plus others sports I have dabbled with like Moto-X and Jetski

I always wondered why in MTB we saw so few "signature" frames or products when every brand in skate, bmx, rollerblade had many pro skateboard decks, wheels and trucks, BMX frames, grips, bars, tires and for Rollerblade boots or wheels available? plus much "pro" clothing for each of these sports...

never made any sense to not have this?...pro products help support the pro athletes because they get royalty payments for each unit sold, these guys and girls don't make much basic salary, every little extra helps and they take huge risks for their love of the sport

not a sense of believing some marketing B.S., but wanting to support an athlete you think is RAD by buying their endorsed products, because you have a sense of pride in using their branded equipment, and supporting their career with your $$$

but in MTB? we seem to get all bent out of shape over pro endorsements?
  • 3 0
Exactally and these prices aren't through the roof either, i was scrolling down this and it's not that bad yes it's in euro's right now but still $25 or so for grips $50 or $60 for a bar not stupid pricey. I'd honestly pick up a set of the grips cuz i like how the waffle holds but in some places it wears quicker which the diamond pattern should help with.... They look like good products at fair prices and they have a mad fast racers name on them why not buy them?
  • 2 0
I mean we still pay up the ass for the parts we want. I mean the Sam Hill endorsed the fat bar people still use it. Pro stuff dosnt cost more. Wouldn't mind the saddle!
  • 1 0
 Sam has cupcakes coming out...stoked!

"...every one flip dicks about it! - bwahahwawaha!
  • 20 3
cool more stuff i won't be buying. sorry dont need a name to tell me whats good. this is mtb not junior high
  • 7 2
can't really argue with that comment
  • 3 0
it's all the same as their stock with changed labels... so you can buy it with standard nukeproof stickers instead i guess.... (unless they're identical sweep, rise, weight and length but toootally different with the stickers)
  • 3 0
you could argue it a little bit. we're all influenced in our choices by seeing or hearing of more experienced/pros running them first. probably as protos then production. saint probably could've easily had vanderham stamped on it instead in '07...
  • 7 0
It bugs me that they can say, "designed in conjunction with Sam Hill" when they haven't had him long enough to really give time to make a proper line up.

Also I laughed my ass of at the "less padding on the saddle leads to an improved strength to weight ratio"... You mean you made it a little lighter and a little more comfy to those that don't like puffy seats! Come on!!!

It wouldn't be a Pinkbike press release without pointless technical-sounding jargon though would it?

I cant believe all the winners on this web site or should I say jealous losers, If you keyboard warriors had half the amount of skill Sam or any other of the top athletes of the sport have, your points may be valid. He deserves a signature line and if your green eyes could see past your computer screen you would see that all brands in there chosen line of sport have a signature series of there top athletes and so they should, its how the company and the athlete make money they have done the hard work to get where they are they are the people who will develop our sport, not you dick heads who hide behind computers and critisize them. Go jump on the adidas, coca cola, nintendo web sites and rag koby bryant out!!! or maybe you could hit the Nike web site and rag out James stewart Ryan Dungey or Tiger Woods seeing they all have signature line clothes or products. Further more attacking some one for the way they look beacuse your jealous of what they have done that you cant is pathetic, Sam Hill pisses more talent than you simple pricks.

I love this preheating WC articles ,I like the little lowriders filies + signature touches on every piece (kind of TLD) not the most creative but nice enough , I would like signature new colors on the NukeProof and SRAM's too, like the Peaty V10 20th WC edition
Thanks to Sam Hill for rise the bar in this sport and being a living legend, by the way he looks soo fit at the ausies races (sorry for gayness)

True that ! NKPRF products looked alright untill that YELLOW color was included. Personally i never liked the Scalp either . Good thing is though , that we wont see from now that many Renthal Fatbars anymore , and Sam asked for a new stem as well , perhaps because Renthal ' s integra SNAPS ! , yea ive had one and it did !

I would ride a cut down broom stick if they'd pay me that much for riding. BTW why would I want someone's name on my bike? I won't make me a legend. Nor stickers with Cola, Pepsi Monster or RedBull would make any sense If they don't pay me.

I thought they wait a few month with this product line, at least until its race-proven... Its still super awesome stuff! Nice work NUKEPROOF!!! I love your products!

Whats to "race prove" about any of it? It's all pretty basic stuff that won't be much different from what Nukeproof usually make besides the aesthetics.

@saidrick , misibol's from UK so its obvious he knows CRC owns NKPRF !
  • 3 1
I don't really mind that CRC do sale, I myself like their brand and buy a lot stuff from them.
Point is that NukeProof and Sam made signature product but they didn't achieve anything together.

I ask, do one buy NukeProof because Sam is riding it or do I buy it because he's winning on it?
  • 7 0
 "they didn't achieve anything together."

He won the Australian gravity series. It's not exactly a world cup, but he won every round and beat a few big names doing so.
  • 2 0
Also, it's more about the body of work that Sam has accomplished over his entire career that truly warrants his own signature line. You can't deny that he is a living legend of mtn biking - to say that he doesn't deserve a signature line with a newly signed team would be an insult to his impact on mtn biking. He's new to Nukeproof, so it's in their best interest to milk some of that cred while he's still racing. I don't mean that negatively, and whether I'm comfortable with that or not, it's just part of the business that any of us would sign up for.
  • 2 0
All I know is I want a pulse and all this stuff !!! I think Sam is gonna Dominate this year and a couple more Its gonna be a great season

the saddle looks bad in my humble opinion.....

 That seat looks painfull
  • 12 0
If a seat is painful, you're doing it wrong.
  • 3 0
if you sit on a dh seat long enough for it to be painful you should probs try standing up more, they're really only there for a quick rest and when you slip a pedal imo

I Fort so Nukeproof...
  • 2 4
 Ridiculous unneccessary shit
  • 3 0
aside from the shirt and barends, the rest of these components are pretty key to your bike functioning
  • 3 0
I can ride my bike with no handlebars...
  • 2 1
I mean this is regular commodity stuff and upgrading your current handlebar to a new signature one is pointless. This is typical marketing bullshit to me. Paying premium for somebody's name on product...you know...better give $ to poor children
  • 2 0
The non-signature ones cost exactly the same, you aren't paying a premium. $50 isn't exactly a lot for a handlebar...
