The annual Out of Bounds Festival hosted at Bikepark Leogang is one of the fixed components of an exhilarating bike season. And this year is no exception! Once again, the top European Downhill riders meet for the iXS European Downhill Cup and the Slopestyle riders gather for the FMB World Tour Gold event 26TRIX from June 20th to 23rd. In 2013, Saalfelden Leogang’s mega event is not only about pro riding, but also includes spectator interaction, amateur riders and activities for young kids.

There is nothing like starting young!” This motto was adopted by Saalfelden Leogang and has been the inspiration for the Out of Bounds festival program. Together with its new bike partner SCOTT and the tourism region of Saalfelden Leogang, Bikepark Leogang will host the well-known ‘SCOTT Junior Trophy’ for the first time, exclusively for the youngest two-wheel rippers. Kids from 3 years onwards get the chance to smell a real competition atmosphere, when crossing the finish line in front of celebrating spectators and proud parents. Ambition and determination for victory will not be the center of the competition: Having fun on the course will be the main goal of the SCOTT Junior Trophy. However this competition will be an unforgettable adventure for the young ‘shredders’. Classified into different peer groups, great prizes will be up for grabs and of course the young champions will take their place on the podium, for that all important family photo.

Not only the kids will look forward to participating in the Out of Bounds Festival 2013: spectators and amateur riders will get a chance to shine in the traditional bunny hop contest. Another premiere at this year’s Out of Bounds Festival, the pump track contest – is also open for amateur riders (more information to follow soon).

Moreover, at the Team & Expo area spectators can get a deep insight into the world of professional mountain biking. Apart from enjoying hanging out at the coolest expo booths with the top brands, at the team paddocks you can come along to get a handshake and autograph from your biking heroes.

But of course, even with all these additional attractions you won’t miss professional mountain bike action at the Out of Bounds Festival: Top European athletes such as Markus Pekoll and Emmeline Ragot will all come for the iXS European Downhill Cup and compete on the notorious “Speedster”-trail at Bikepark Leogang, which is also last chance to practice in a race before this year’s upcoming UCI Downhill World Cup final later this year.

A true eye candy for airtime lovers will be the trick spectacle during the 26TRIX competition. This FMB World Tour Gold event is without a doubt a highlight of the world tour’s European circuit. At 26TRIX there are a lot of FMB World Tour points at stake, which is why year after year the world’s most versatile dirt jump riders come to show what they can do

Saalfelden Leogang and Bikepark Leogang have pulled out all the stops for this years Out of Bounds Festival, so there is little reason not to attend. This gathering of spectators, amateurs and professional riders in the heart of Salzburger Land promises a lot of bike action, fun and entertainment for all kinds of bike enthusiasts.

Keep in mind: There is another highlight event coming to Saalfelden Leogang with the UCI Downhill World Cup final and the UCI 4X Mountain Bike World Championships from September 19th to 22nd!
