Congratulations to Cam Zink for winning Pinkbike's Best Trick award for 2013. His backflip off the Icon Sender at this year's Red Bull Rampage is currently the largest backflip ever done off of a drop, and pushes the realm of what is possible on a mountain bike into a new dimension. Zink maintained a healthy margin throughout the voting process, and after over 6,400 votes were cast is now officially the winner of the Pinkbike Best Trick Award.

Maybe not the most technical, but there was no margin of error. And it was stomped in a comp…. no run-ins, no warm up…. pure balls and perfect execution.
Rampage needs to copy Crankworks and have a "Best Run" and "Best Trick" award. Could you imagine allowing each rider to focus on one feature and throwing their best trick off it without having to 'finish the run?' We would all be saying what Martin said when he almost died testing the x-games kicker... "Dude...That was insane!"
Not sure how well that would fly man. Trying tricks on perfect dirt, with nice wood lips, really brings down the intimidation of trying the trick. If you crash, you are probably going to be okay. Now take the idea of best trick and put it into the rampage style element. No one wants to try and 3 a massive drop, or flip a nutty stepdown, after you have crashed a few times... The risk of greater injury is much, much, much more real at rampage then on the nicely manicured dirt at c-worx.
Don't forget it's also the first year the feature has ever existed, and he being one of a very few people to actually hit it... Mad props to Zink for actually doing a backflip over it, which just happens to be the largest in the world.
Kelly's backflip was better in my opinion, more so for the share size of the man that is Kelly. He ain't no little weed.
Has done NZ proud has Kelly, and an awesome guy to boot.....
Saw that live during best trick, hot damn. The best part was he tried a flip barhop right before it and crashed pretty bad. So what, he figured he cant land a flip barhop, might as well throw a tailwhip in there just to see what happens? Haha Mike is the man!
Zink definitely deserved this. To flip the biggest drop ever flipped, right before becoming a dad, proves that he is the sickest! He definetly got balls of zink
surely you can be smoother the bigger with a back flip. cause you can rotate slower and spot your landing quicker and it's easier to slow your rotation, like he did to get it bang on.
Well first of all it was off a drop so theres less momentum to flip, Its easier to over rotate and it was the first time he tried it. He wouldnt have known how fast to rotate and the landing forces on that drop would be massive, so to ride out of it with both wheels landing at the same time, then ride out straight I'd say was harder than flipping over a dirt jump personally.
Missed out so so many huge tricks that play a massive part in this years new best tricks. Pavels flip double to whip, Mike Ms Flip barhop to whip, the flat drop by pilgrim and co, what about the cash roll AND and the barspin cash roll ...?
Zink deserved it out right yeah cashroll bar spin is sick but a 75ft step down back flip with out even trying it is nuts. I tip my hat to you zink you have big balls
If this was only based on trick then it's just cashroll vs backflip which is a pretty easy win for the cashroll. (Although the two backflips were badass as hell)
