This is crap and is NOT a judging system this is a popularity contest!!! negative prop all you want but its time these contest get judged seriously. The FMB tour is never going to get the respect or tv coverage if they keep this up. I have been to a few contests and the judging is crap repeat tricks should drop the score not landing with your feet on the pedals should drop the score. I was at a contest that one of these rides in this video (name will be left out to avoid being tied to my babble) didn't even make the top 10 and he threw tail whips and bar spins but some f*g flipped the second set and didn't even make the rest of the pack and he made top ten come on!

YES Wyper's cordova flip was sick but he did not land it there fore he should not be winning. Carson landed that huge 720 like butter, there were some combos thrown like bar spin to tuck.

side note I can not do any of these tricks or even jump like any of these guys. but I was once told a sport that has judges will always be corrupt. I would just like to see slope style in the X-games or better yet have it's own TV spot on Saturday afternoon.

Wyper didn't even stick his trick. He shouldn't win. Pinkbike is dumb. Storch with the 720 is easily the sickest trick. The 14 year old's ADD probably kicked in before they made it to the end though.

Not a huge fan of frontflips but Nick Clarke stomped his no hander one. Tough choice between that and Wyper's Barbara Streisand. The 720 was good but it's not a particularly cool looking trick and the landing wasn't quite as nice as Clarke's. Casey's super seater 3 was also pretty cool. Not including Wyper's Streisand as that was just jokes:

I'm not cool enough to know the names of all those tricks. In my mind, Rheeder shouted "Boom Motherhuckers!" as he took off for that first trick. Then as he got right up there in the stratosphere he opened his legs and shouted "Suck ma Baws!!" .
I like to think that the above is true (I just couldn't hear him above that flamin' music) and that's why I voted Rheeder..

I normally skip over slopestyle coverage because I am not really a big fan of it and It is repetitive to me, but I was shocked at the amount of kids that just threw down so hard.. Even some of the kids that didnt throw the big flip tricks still had gobs of style.. I was impressed that there were that many kids that were able to just flat out throw down on that big hit..

I am of the opinion that TW's and BF's and combinations thereof just do not cut it any more. I was literally off my bed cheering when I saw the 720 attempt.

TW/BF's are getting REALLY old. It's a staple move - if you CAN'T do them then you shouldn't be riding slopestyle. I don't mind combos or variations but on their own they are beyond stale.

Anyway sweet video - some awesome combos got thrown down and plenty of them were quite refreshing and exciting to see Big Grin

My opinions:
1) Backflip Cliffhanger by Wiper
2) Indian Air 360 by Casey
3) Barspin to Tuck by Messere

Is it just me or do 360 tailwhips, backflip tailwhips, double tailwhips, front flips, front flip tucks, backflip tucks just don't cut it anymore for best trick? Hell if I could do any of them, but it just doesn't seem like the riders are pushing for the "Best" in the Best Trick competition.

I always thought that if you rode out of it without stepping on the ground, it counts.... Sure, regardless if the rider "rides" out or not, it doesn't look smooth at all.. but to me, the essence of Best Trick is to throw down a more difficult trick than the competition.

Let me just ask this: Smooth Backflip Tailwhip VS. Wiper's Cordova?
