The women's short track: getting the hole shot doesn't guarantee a win, but it helps!
Marianne Vos pulling away from the field in the Women's Short Track event. Vos is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Her background is road and 'cross, and in those disciplines (and track racing) she's won ten world titles since 2004. Now she's set her sights on conquering mountain biking. At only 26, she has the potential to dominate like none other.
Bottle neck city.
Adam Craig keepin' it real: baggy shorts, baggy jersey and loads of style.
BBQ'd Tri tip for the masses...

It's not at all uncommon to find spent shell scattered around the area. Laguna Seca resides on the grounds of the old Fort Ord, a one time training facility for the US military.

Since Volkswagen is the head sponsor of the Sea Otter, I'm not surprised at all, haha.
Maybe one year they'll have Ariel as the sponsor... now that'd be exciting, haha.
Dont let the fact that is a Volkwagon CC make you think it cant burn out the laps. Ustemuf is right. With the right driver behind the wheel, you would be amazed at what that thing could do
Lets not forget that Volkswagon owns Lamborghini, Audi, Bugatti and Porsche. I understand the good driver argument but they could've brought a much radder lineup of beasts for hot laps
Well a Golf R is almost the same thing as a Passat CC R, only less powerful. And it has less space in the back, so it'd only be harder to have 3 passengers. Otherwise the underpinnings are very simmilar. Even getting an Audi, something like an S4, would have made a huge difference.
bigburd- American cars may be boxes, they might also be overweight but the one thing they are not is under powered. You're just being mean with that one.
...and thank God Cedric is back!, old school cool with style, and all the while a great contender, the sport needs him like F1 needed Gerhard Berger, like WC Ski racing needed Alberto Tomba, like MX needed Bob Hannah, well you get it...(if you are old anyways) ;-)
I was able to do a hot lap around laguna in a G series Lexus by one of the Skip Barber instructors. By far one of the most awesome things I've ever done.. A must for your bucket list....
