This video is episode 8 of an 8 part series that introduced the Judges for the Reality Redesigned contest. Reality Redesigned is a contest that gives students an awesome opportunity to design and submit an innovative mountain bike component, suspension or frame. Contestants entered their design for a chance to win awesome prizes! Submission entry has now closed. The theme of this first Reality Redesigned contest followed the Edge Factor Show film “Gnarly Metal”.

In April, we FINALLY get to the good stuff.. to the meat of Reality Redesigned: The GAUNTLET video series, featuring our Judges critiquing the Top 9 designs.

Mike Montgomery, a Pro MTB Rider and one of the top riders in the Slopestyle mountain biking world, gives Jeremy the inside scoop on some of the aggressive tricks that he has planned for the near future. Mike also tells us about what he'll be looking for when he's judging the top 9 Reality Redesigned submissions.
Mike will receive the 3D Systems models from Dave Mee at 3D Systems. Mike is going to judge the top 9 submissions from an industry viewpoint and will be checking the usability and "rideability" of each model.

 This is an episode of Reality Redesigned, presented by Edge Factor. These episodes are part of a design contest for students, based on the Edge Factor production called "Gnarly Metal". Edge Factor exists to get students involved and excited about manufacturing. These initial episodes are meant to introduce the judges for this season of Reality Redesigned as well as introduce the viewer to the process of getting a design to market, uncovering the cost involved in that process. Future episodes will include the judges opinion of the designs that have been submitted,eventually tracking the designs as the judges pick a winner.  I'd say around the Lake Elsinor area. I've seen that suspension bridge in the area @ 1:18
