I was so stoked I lost all control and pooped myself when I saw the drop at 01:00....

this looks like a really good improvement on the dangerous designs of the last few years. splitting the cabin drop earlier to give a couple turns of speed control before the big stepdown is much better. good call.

 we are!

Could he of sounded any more relaxed while hitting these?
  • 1 0
sooo relaxed. The course flows so well he barely had to pedal
  • 24 1
such a casual 3 off the first drop...NBD
  • 3 0
it seems like 3's are second nature to the Claw lol
  • 12 0
100% authentic slope course, it seems! I could do with a monster drop, but I'm sure the course is much more to the rider's preference as is! I'm excited for the course and hope that the rider's really have a good time on it.

Video does no justice that drop off the house is still massive
  • 3 0
Good point, you're right, drops never look near as large on helmet camera videos. Smile
  • 2 0
i guess we're used to seeing the big drop at the end, but will be cool to see some big tricks off that last jump! Lots of air miles, and I guess the whale tails have gone the way of the dodo. too rhythm-ey i guess!

Was just in Whiz and the course looks awesome.
  • 1 0
Yeah, probably. I love the course, though!
  • 2 1
After all the crashing at last years it makes sense to make it more rider friendly
  • 2 0
This stuff is huge in real life. The gap off the wall ride is rediculous, but in the video it doesn't look like anything.
  • 11 1
Daren's Commentary: step down... now into a step up.... into the wallride

Me: shit... oh shit...HOLY SHIT!!

 Berreclothe does the best pov's
  • 8 8
Yes he does good POV's but this one seems to lack the sensation of bit speed and the audio is not the greatest.
  • 23 6
Sorry I was not aware we were judging bit speed and audio on pinkbike now
  • 2 2
Well we aren't, but compared to the claws other course previews then you will understand haha

Riding through the Boneyard you get a real perspective for how massive those features are.

I say mad props to Dustin Gilding as well
  • 4 0
Dustin killed it with this course. Everything looks like it just links together perfectly, and it looks packed already. Unlike last year... Healing vibes Dustins way!
  • 1 0
Dirt also is sifted properly, landings look steep and smooth for once, and the course is just overall flowy with nice trick jumps. Im glad he went for quality over sheer size.
  • 2 0
need another vid of him doing the same thing while a few sprinklers are running. like a big ass aerial water slide or sumpin.

i seen the course last week when i was there.....video camera's still don't get the full scope and size of this course. its huge!!!!!
  • 1 0
Yep. The finishing jumps are fucking massive.
  • 1 0
Thought it'd be a hit or a miss course when I saw the course drawing like a while ago but it looks amazing, thought there was a lack of lines but it appears not haha, anyway sick course. Hope Zink smashes Joyride this year!

So fucking disappointed I can't be in Whistler for this. I was there last month and the track was looking amazing.. Maybe one day I'll be in Whistler for this.... One day..

X-games builders: take notes... Incredible Course checked by a legend himself!! Hey that's the old first start, huh? That looks beautiful!
  • 1 0
No big drop at the end? Use to be Crankwork's signature feature. Looks like a regular DJ at the end.
  • 6 1
Almost seemed like there were too many problems with it last year, what with riders blowing tires and.a couple gnarly crashes
  • 1 0
Ahhh makes sense. Too bad, always felt it was a good exclamation to a run.
  • 1 0
Don't be deceived that last jump is still massive. Im actually really excited for the last jump. I think we will see a lot more unique tricks. Last few years it seemed like the same few tricks off the last jump by every rider, like the jump was too big for anyone to try anything else off of.
  • 1 0
Not denying the size. Let me put it in other terms rather than the jump itself. Its kinda like a rock show. But the encore is not the pop song, not the ballad either. Just one of the filler songs thats still good, just not the same bang. Wink
  • 4 6
I like last year's course way more, but this looks smoother and won't fuck over some riders. This year's course honestly kind of looks boring to watch maybe. Not saying that I could do better and the riders aren't super talented, but the course lacks imagination and aesthetics as well as ability for creative lines.
  • 1 0
Looks like a good run and plenty of potential for the pro riders to experiment
  • 2 0
Looks more fun to ride, not that I would.
  • 2 1
It looks cool, but i have a feeling last years last feature, was a little bit more epic than that.
  • 2 0
if you saw it, it's still pretty big. and much more potential for crazy tricks
  • 1 0
Am I the only one who watched this video several times while tilting my phone prettending I was riding?
  • 1 0
Where is the wall ride at the end?):
  • 1 0
He told me he's getting old a couple of moths ago. I don't see it.
  • 3 3
That last feature is pretty LAME. What happened to the cabin or giant drops???
  • 2 1
Totally agree!!! The whole course feels kinda like any other slope course just longer... Crankworx is supposed to be unique... this course just wasnt!
  • 1 0
Yeah looks a little mellow. But still looks awesome.
  • 2 0
 So stoked for joyride
  • 1 0
those 2 jumps after the wall ride look nice
