So maybe like 30 mins of showing the run, yet missing out on a few killer runs, and an hour of advertisment and interviews, some of which have nothing to do with biking. On the plus side, I was super exited when the commentator knew what a tailwhip was. Maybe there is still hope in this world
I agree. Let's just keep this sport to ourselves. Mainstream sucks. All this will lead too is more Gapers in my way at Whistler. Why is everyone so concerned with this sport growing? I love it the way it is right now.
I didn't think it was much different than any other extreme sports show. Keep in mind this isn't just MTBers watching, it's old people, young people, and people who've never even ridden a bike before. They have to explain everything, and they need to have ads; how else does it come out for free? The fact that they have two pro BMXers is pretty decent - commentators know what's going on. Yeah the one's voice was a little over the top, but you gotta keep people entertained, that's the name of the game. I'm just pumped this was on TV and they're spreading the word on one of the best sports in the world.
I hate the people that this video is catered too. These people will never be like us. They are just not cool, and do not have their priorities straight. They watch videos like this and think of it as circus stunts.
LOL at tetonlarry. People who think they are cool generally aren't! I'd say that slopestyle and circus stunts are pretty similar. It's not exactly chess is it?
Enough with the god danm bs commercials that arent even about biking. The 10 minute commercials to 1 frikin run the you miss out on the most amazing run! fucking redbull.. If your gonna do this do a better job!
this was an awesome way to show the 'other side' of mtn biking, i live far away from mtns and a biking community right now, with joyride on nbc i was able to show my friends my addiction
I can't believe there are so many negative posts! Maybe your expectations are too high, cause it was just about how I expected a major network sports broadcast to be. Of course there's gonna be some cheesy moments and advertisements. I enjoyed the commentary, and appreciate the production effort to get that much good footage of some awesome riders killing it!

Was nice to have Jamie Bestwick announcing, he's a legend! Definitely super bummed about Semenuk in Whistler and Rampage. I would have really like to see the runs he had up his sleeve, changing the style of riding for sure!
I agree how this schmuck that has no experience in any sport that I know of can be the voice of the X games and now crankworx is beyond me...I just threw up in my mouth
