As the wind touches fields of wheat, the restless sounds reverberate in my ears as we drive closer to our destination. Looking out of the truck window at the steep, but gentle ebb and flow of wheat fields, who would have thought a temperate rain forest could break up the monotonous, but awe-inspiring agricultural land? The final resting place for luss soils accumulated over thousand of years of wind and a few timely volcanic eruptions, the palouse hills surrounding Moscow mountain are home to some of the richest soil in the world. And this same soil is a dream to glide two wheels upon.

Erik hitting suburban drop in Moscow

Welcome back to ride my domain. This trip we're stopping by Moscow mountain in north Idaho to hang with Moscow Arms Race founder Michael smith. We'll also meet up with Moscow Native, and local bike enthusiast, Erik Gorman and highlight two exceptional rides: the DH track and the freeride trail. These trails exist because of the efforts of dedicated local riders, MAMBA and private property owners who have generously allowed their land to be developed for the ultimate mountain biking experience. Join us for a journey into a unique and challenging, but little known, riding paradise. Cheers!

99% of not US citizens will not understand that ID stands for a state of the USA, let aside that Moscow, Russia is far more known then Moscow, ID........

its infact confusing

yet the lack of a Russian accent holds no value?

Do you always put an abbreviated location after you write "Moscow"? Because I always thought it's pretty evident that any city name followed by two capital letters meant it's in a united state. I.E. "Seattle, WA" or "Boise, ID". I've never seen anyone write "Moscow, RU". Maybe they should.

Bowen1911, confusing was the naming. From the video I understood where filming happened right away. Don't think that people are imbecils. On the other hand, perfect English in videos does not make Jamaica or France part of US. So fail on you, babe.

I don't think a little critical thinking is synonymous with arrogance. Sorry Yoda/Auxx, but I never said Jamaica or France was part of either of us. Grammar check that shit before you try to make me feel bad for pointing out a couple simple facts that would have helped some draw correct conclusions. Derp de Derrrrrr

It's cool that critiquing a 2 second part of an otherwise awesome trail system gets deleted. Regardless, that mountain is a blast to ride and the people responsible for it have done an awesome job up there.

Awesome! It was all XC when I visited back in the day, except one section of trail that had some moto whoops. Look forward to a visit again someday. I remember one guy that would wait at the side for people to come down the road then he would take off and race and pass everyone on his fully rigid, then go back up and wait for more people to come down. Sort of an A hole move but funny now

Yeah there is over 40 miles of awesome Xcode now. You need to come back! And yeah I think I know the fully rigid a hole...lol

Nice Vid My friend, turned out great. Scott I know the whoops aren't your favorite, but they are needed to slow you down before the rock roll, other wise you would truly die lol. the upper whoops well thats just Kyle digging holes in everything. Kyle Thomas was the builder of the trail, I just helped and picked up where he left off with the race/trails so thanks to him!

sounds like scott broke his balls a few too many times on those whoops
  • + 2
flag scottrallye (Jul 18, 2012 at 10:55)
Yeah, skimming over a bunch of what are essentially huge braking bumps is insanely challenging. Especially when you can lip off the first one and skip all but the last few. Man, I so wish my balls could handle that.
