26 rules. Today Enduroriders clogged my local dh track. Slow riding, carnage. Lacking etiquette. Annoying.

Its called using the right tool for the job. Today, that was 26, tomorrow it could 29 or 27.5. But the wheels didnt win this race, the rider did so lets focus on that
  • 4 2
I do agree it was the 26 today that was the best tool for the job. That does not mean it will always be the best tool for the job though.
  • 11 4
Cannondale and Yeti do not have 27.5, yet! If they did it would have probably been 27.5 1st & 2nd!
  • 8 9
Chausson won on 27.5 wheels. Graves and Clementz have no other choices than 26" bikes. Lets revisit this debate when they have options and see what they pick.
  • 4 1
 AC won on 26
  • 1 0
Graves is an amazing rider, and if it wasn't for his mechanical on the last stage, would be in first right now, happy to see it was on 26" as well, although, he could probably win on any bike!
  • 6 0
Remember Graves does have 29ers to choose from!
  • 6 1
Funny how people hate on a perfectly logical thought just because of wheel size bias.
  • 7 0
Yawn. It's not about the wheel size.
  • 1 0
Ist there an SB 95 29er - JG could presumably ride that if he wanted to
  • 1 1
Go to belgium and race one of the lol enduro races there and you will sure be good with a 650b or 29er because there is a hell lot of pedaling, then go to one of the german races and they will throw you on a propper downhill track where 26' is the best choice. So in my eyes there is no perfect wheel size, it depents on the track you ride. Those who can't affort 3bikes will probably choos a 650b, the pros will just select the right size depending on the terrain..

26in wheels are perfect for Enduro, Downhill, Freeride, and dirt jumping. 29in wheels are perfect for XC and Trail. 650b hasn't been fully proven yet and the reason I will never go 650b is because companies are trying to shove it down our throats and say it's the perfect wheel size!!! It isn't! The perfect wheel size is the one you feel more comfortable with. Look at Curtis Keene, he uses a 29in endure bike and shreds it. On the other hand you have guys like Jared Graves(my favorite enduro rider this year) and Jerome Clementz who dominate endure on 26in. 26in bikes are the majority of the market and will stay that way as long as companies don't oust them.

 29erds!! Can I quote this?

Are the manufacturers asleep? Notice the unsponsored guy in third place? He got 6th at the Mega and has beaten a load of factory guys all year with jack shit support. Sign that mega talent up you goons. Well done Jamie Nicoll.

Jared Graves awesome stuff well done.
  • 9 2
Yeah Gravesy, top 3, 26", top 3 only riders and bikes to break 50mins! 26" dead yeah right so much for superior roll over speed, 26" ftw results don't lie, done in DH on every course they say this is it 27.5" suitable, 26" smashed em bro, those riders and manufactures who are focused sales drones have been left wanting, most stage wins dominated by 26" most round wins 26" Im sure if Fabian could have ridden his preferred platform maybe he wouldn't have needed to cheat, Nico wouldn't have crashed etc long live 26" and manufactures with the guts to keep making them, Stoked for Gravesy and also Jamie Nicol awesome bro! 2 kiwis top 10 men's, 1 Kiwi girl top 10 women's congrats!
  • 1 0
Hell yeah - this race was good to us Kiwi's! Awesome results!
  • 7 1
So Martin Maes wins every stage in his class with times not too much slower than the pro's, and destroys his field by over 4 minutes on the final stage..wow! Also beat Anne Caroline by almost 2 minutes on the final stage. I like that they made them race too tight, nice to mix things up.

Well, l'll be damned. Protour has made an intelligent observation based on known facts
  • 1 0
And to think there are still idiots calling some of the new girls "The next ACC"...never will happen.

oh man such a bad luck for Rene Wildhaber`s mission for podium on 5th stage...loosing his chain on the longest stage...racing can be brutal....
  • 1 0
Fabien Barel would have been 3rd if not for the 5 minute penalty from training day. www.enduroworldseries.com/downloads/results/Whistler_Final.pdf

Nice work Jesse Melamed! Home town kid done good. All right.
