Matt Jones is having a great 2013. The contest season is barely underway and already this young talent is making a name for himself , whether that’s by winning the qualifications round at Vienna Air King (his first FMB contest), then coming 10th in the finals, or busting out double backflips and a whole amount of style in photos and on videos both at home and abroad.
Hooking up with Saracen late last year coincided with Matt's first full-time year of riding after finishing school. Matt is well known to Saracen, frequenting the local playground of Woburn Sands, with many of its features being dug by Matt and his cohorts.
This is Matt's home turf, and it shows. Every trick is thrown down with consummate ease and on his first attempt of a freshly rebuilt step down, Matt, without any hesitation, throws down a backflip. Afterwards, Matt pushes back up and comments "It could do with a few inches more on it really, but its not a problem". Getting the job done is one of Matt's specialities.
Matt, along with his new team mate, Blake Samson, runs a custom build based around a Saracen ALX frame set.
Remember the name, as you'll be seeing more of Matt as the year progresses.
