Perhaps a song with a lead line "and the cracks begin to show" is not the best subliminal marketing for a bike. Looks super slack as advertised though.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:22)
Perhaps not lol sick bike though. I'd love to give one a try.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:40)
um... pavilion flux and bella humble?
Cracks- Freestylers ft. Belle Humble (Flux Pavilion Remix)
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:47)
I don't think you saw/understood the humor in their posts....
(Mar 29, 2013 at 22:26)
That didn't do it for me. You could hit those big jumps smoothly on just about any DH bike out there these days. This is a Downhill bike, if you want to sell a Downhill bike then take it something like Mt 7 Psychosis. Im not saying go exactly there, but a trail with that sort of technical difficulty. Look at the 2011 Devinci Wilson promo on youtube. That is how you sell me a bike.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 23:46)
cool engineering graphics, what did you guys use for that? like a real time simulator from solidwerx?
(Mar 30, 2013 at 3:21)
True, this is the kind of riding the Voltage FR is aimed at.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 8:28)
i see what you mean hoolydooly.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 12:45)
the only bit of terrain that looked like it could test a DH bike they jumped over at 1:27 , sick sick jumps no doubt not really selling the bike.
(Mar 31, 2013 at 13:24)
Fairclough will prove if this bike is worthy.
(Mar 31, 2013 at 15:44)
Fairclough could make anything look good
(Mar 31, 2013 at 19:54)
True that true that haha any pro could
(Mar 29, 2013 at 23:54)
yeah riders will enjoy any new bike they will purchase in 2013
(Mar 30, 2013 at 3:29)
I don't know much french, but enough to know the first subtitle translation wasn't very accurate.
What's to say the rest are less accurate, and they're actually saying:
"Yeah, its not bad, but I miss my TR450"
(Mar 30, 2013 at 15:51)
Beside that Gambler, these guys were riding a Banshee Legend a Specialized Demo and a Yeti 303
And they defo appreciated this new version, the old one really sucks.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 0:27)
that was absolute bollocks
(Mar 29, 2013 at 22:35)
"Rigidity has been improved"...WOW...over the previous Gambler AKA Tiger Tank (which I Loved)..lighter..for sure..but..more rigid..oh I da know bout dat...cool to see the evolution of this bike.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 7:14)
SICK bike, but the company is ripping off anyone who buys it, honestly the bike is 7000, every part is saint except for the brakes.. and both the suspensions don't come stock in kashima on the bike... seriously, how much more of a hassle would it have been for them to make the suspensions kashima at least...
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:27)
The second most convoluted pivot system behind the Marin Quake.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 0:22)
(Mar 30, 2013 at 7:16)
Marin's pivot system isn't really that complicated
(Mar 30, 2013 at 10:11)
Υou mad bro? Have you ever seen a quake ? It's like any VP system
(Mar 30, 2013 at 11:28)
Yeah, Quake isn't complicated it's just ugly and heavy.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 14:12)
All tanks are ugly and heavy. Besides, since when are 4.5 kilos heavy?
(Mar 30, 2013 at 16:17)
i personally love the marin quad linkage, a few extra pounds isn't too much when you actually want a linkage that battle it's way through things a bike with similar travel won't.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 21:21)
The new Gambler is sick.....straight up. We have a couple at Revolution cycle and it's a beautiful bike. Downhill bikes are not sold by the viewing of far superior riders on a ride you can't afford. They are sold by reputation customer service. This is why Specialized, Giant, Scott and Intense and actually sell stuff.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 8:28)
all Scott needs to do in order to sell the Gambler is spend a day shooting Bren-dawg.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 4:45)
love that bike but they serieusly need to get another soundtrack, i hear this song on almost every video
(Apr 1, 2013 at 15:57)
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's the way people like this dress when riding that stops british cycling wanting anything to do with DH. haha. I would dress like that for the pub! (with jeans)
(Mar 30, 2013 at 13:42)
nice bike, but my brother in law rides a scott n swears by them, says their the best, but am not so sure as his bike spends more time in the shop being fix't then being rode.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 6:08)
(Mar 30, 2013 at 6:13)
there's then in the middle....
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:46)
Well... With all that riding I think I'm gonna need to see the bike some more.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 22:05)
@donch15 are you Gok Wan in disguise, casting dispersions of designer clothing and looking down your nose at the masses?
(Mar 30, 2013 at 3:06)
Perhaps he's just... 'Fast, way faster than you...'
(Mar 30, 2013 at 7:47)
Glad I got the voltage fr. We don't need no stinkin pressfit bottom bracket
(Mar 30, 2013 at 17:25)
no brendog, no care
(Mar 31, 2013 at 10:38)
If you're gonna have 2 riders in a bike promo video then surely you'd have them both riding THE SAME BIKE?
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:12)
Looks like a.... Redlap
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:48)
ha i thought people had forgotten about those things. maybe they succeeded in killing it before it laid eggs.
(Mar 31, 2013 at 12:46)
I had to stop watching this just because flux pavillion are ****ing awsome!!!
(Mar 30, 2013 at 16:35)
(Mar 30, 2013 at 17:31)
I WANT ONE!
(Mar 30, 2013 at 17:55)
(Apr 1, 2013 at 10:16)
somehow the riders managed to make this bike look super heavy.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:12)
The Gambler looks so fucking sick. I can never get enough of that thing.
(Mar 31, 2013 at 11:48)
what is name the song?
(Mar 30, 2013 at 11:17)
Does anyone know where this clip was shot?
(Mar 30, 2013 at 14:17)
Some of it was at Hafjell and some was shot at Åre...cant say for the whole clip but i recognize those two places at least.
This vid is from there trip to norway and sweden, there are longer edits from the same guys riding these different bike parks.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 15:45)
Exact, shot last summer in 5 different bike parks during our trip to Norway and Sweden
(Mar 30, 2013 at 18:35)
You guys should have been at "Nesbyen freeride" in Norway while you where in here. Tons of flow and speed all the way.
But soon its Nesbyen freeride camp! Great People, Great trails and a Great Saturday night at the lokal pub with bike movies from the two days of riding, beer and live Music!
(Mar 30, 2013 at 7:12)
Linkage... Confusing my brain.
(Mar 30, 2013 at 8:00)
Is this bike called the "Gambler" because you are gambling with life and death while riding it?
(Mar 30, 2013 at 6:15)
the footage was mostly recycled from another video...
(Mar 29, 2013 at 22:54)
Love my gambler steeped up from A voltage will never look back
(Mar 30, 2013 at 23:00)
Dearest Scott, STFU and TAKE MY MONEY!
(Mar 30, 2013 at 19:53)
Just have fun!
(Mar 30, 2013 at 3:50)
(Mar 30, 2013 at 5:13)
Its nice, but its no S-works demo or Treck session
(Mar 30, 2013 at 9:08)
It`s heavy duty and made for though sh..t. Bikes that are fun in the alps look different. Demo and Session tend to bend and break here. Dont see too many - cc-kids first bike. It`s Knolly, Scott, Intense, Foes, Commencal, Morewood and some others.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:14)
my new best friend? oh well sorry nathan
Below threshold threads are hidden
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:35)
Guys it kinda looks like a trek session
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:12)
I can't believe these guys are pro! I'm like way faster than them!
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:23)
I dont think theyre pro. and who cares if your faster they cleary love riding, theyre videos sick and it gets me stoked to ride!
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:25)
The only thing someone who wears a gingham plaid dress shirt to go ride bike is, is a professional d-bag.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:31)
Ha! That was funny.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 22:04)
^ and here's Mr I'm-Faster-Than-You
(Mar 29, 2013 at 22:08)
hm tough crowd. Guess there are no Shane McConkey fans in the house. Noted.
(Mar 29, 2013 at 23:15)
Don't worry I got the reference
(Mar 29, 2013 at 21:30)
If they are going to call it the Gambler 10, then it should have 10 inches of travel. They are short changing their own integrity and potential customers who are looking for a real mans bike and not some little 8 inch wannabe.
