Perhaps a song with a lead line "and the cracks begin to show" is not the best subliminal marketing for a bike. Looks super slack as advertised though.
That didn't do it for me. You could hit those big jumps smoothly on just about any DH bike out there these days. This is a Downhill bike, if you want to sell a Downhill bike then take it something like Mt 7 Psychosis. Im not saying go exactly there, but a trail with that sort of technical difficulty. Look at the 2011 Devinci Wilson promo on youtube. That is how you sell me a bike.
I don't know much french, but enough to know the first subtitle translation wasn't very accurate. What's to say the rest are less accurate, and they're actually saying: "Yeah, its not bad, but I miss my TR450" lol
Beside that Gambler, these guys were riding a Banshee Legend a Specialized Demo and a Yeti 303 And they defo appreciated this new version, the old one really sucks.
"Rigidity has been improved"...WOW...over the previous Gambler AKA Tiger Tank (which I Loved)..lighter..for sure..but..more rigid..oh I da know bout dat...cool to see the evolution of this bike.
SICK bike, but the company is ripping off anyone who buys it, honestly the bike is 7000, every part is saint except for the brakes.. and both the suspensions don't come stock in kashima on the bike... seriously, how much more of a hassle would it have been for them to make the suspensions kashima at least...
i personally love the marin quad linkage, a few extra pounds isn't too much when you actually want a linkage that battle it's way through things a bike with similar travel won't.
The new Gambler is sick.....straight up. We have a couple at Revolution cycle and it's a beautiful bike. Downhill bikes are not sold by the viewing of far superior riders on a ride you can't afford. They are sold by reputation customer service. This is why Specialized, Giant, Scott and Intense and actually sell stuff.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's the way people like this dress when riding that stops british cycling wanting anything to do with DH. haha. I would dress like that for the pub! (with jeans)
nice bike, but my brother in law rides a scott n swears by them, says their the best, but am not so sure as his bike spends more time in the shop being fix't then being rode.
It`s heavy duty and made for though sh..t. Bikes that are fun in the alps look different. Demo and Session tend to bend and break here. Dont see too many - cc-kids first bike. It`s Knolly, Scott, Intense, Foes, Commencal, Morewood and some others.
If they are going to call it the Gambler 10, then it should have 10 inches of travel. They are short changing their own integrity and potential customers who are looking for a real mans bike and not some little 8 inch wannabe.
f*cking retards.
