Perhaps a song with a lead line "and the cracks begin to show" is not the best subliminal marketing for a bike. Looks super slack as advertised though.

Perhaps not lol sick bike though. I'd love to give one a try.

I don't think you saw/understood the humor in their posts....

That didn't do it for me. You could hit those big jumps smoothly on just about any DH bike out there these days. This is a Downhill bike, if you want to sell a Downhill bike then take it something like Mt 7 Psychosis. Im not saying go exactly there, but a trail with that sort of technical difficulty. Look at the 2011 Devinci Wilson promo on youtube. That is how you sell me a bike.

cool engineering graphics, what did you guys use for that? like a real time simulator from solidwerx?
  • 7 0
True, this is the kind of riding the Voltage FR is aimed at.
  • 13 0
i see what you mean hoolydooly.

the only bit of terrain that looked like it could test a DH bike they jumped over at 1:27 , sick sick jumps no doubt not really selling the bike.

Fairclough will prove if this bike is worthy.
  • 2 0
Fairclough could make anything look good
  • 1 0
True that true that haha any pro could
  • 20 0
yeah riders will enjoy any new bike they will purchase in 2013Wink
  • 10 1
 that was absolute bollocks

I don't know much french, but enough to know the first subtitle translation wasn't very accurate.
What's to say the rest are less accurate, and they're actually saying:
"Yeah, its not bad, but I miss my TR450"
lol Smile

Beside that Gambler, these guys were riding a Banshee Legend a Specialized Demo and a Yeti 303 Wink And they defo appreciated this new version, the old one really sucks.

"Rigidity has been improved"...WOW...over the previous Gambler AKA Tiger Tank (which I Loved)..lighter..for sure..but..more rigid..oh I da know bout dat...cool to see the evolution of this bike.
  • 4 0
SICK bike, but the company is ripping off anyone who buys it, honestly the bike is 7000, every part is saint except for the brakes.. and both the suspensions don't come stock in kashima on the bike... seriously, how much more of a hassle would it have been for them to make the suspensions kashima at least...

The second most convoluted pivot system behind the Marin Quake.
  • 3 4
 Cannondale Moto?
  • 12 0
Marin's pivot system isn't really that complicated
  • 2 4
Υou mad bro? Have you ever seen a quake ? It's like any VP system
  • 7 0
Yeah, Quake isn't complicated it's just ugly and heavy.
  • 1 0
All tanks are ugly and heavy. Besides, since when are 4.5 kilos heavy?
  • 1 0
i personally love the marin quad linkage, a few extra pounds isn't too much when you actually want a linkage that battle it's way through things a bike with similar travel won't.

The new Gambler is sick.....straight up. We have a couple at Revolution cycle and it's a beautiful bike. Downhill bikes are not sold by the viewing of far superior riders on a ride you can't afford. They are sold by reputation customer service. This is why Specialized, Giant, Scott and Intense and actually sell stuff.
  • 5 0
all Scott needs to do in order to sell the Gambler is spend a day shooting Bren-dawg.
  • 4 0
love that bike but they serieusly need to get another soundtrack, i hear this song on almost every video
  • 1 0
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's the way people like this dress when riding that stops british cycling wanting anything to do with DH. haha. I would dress like that for the pub! (with jeans)
  • 2 0
Well... With all that riding I think I'm gonna need to see the bike some more.

nice bike, but my brother in law rides a scott n swears by them, says their the best, but am not so sure as his bike spends more time in the shop being fix't then being rode.
  • 2 0
@donch15 are you Gok Wan in disguise, casting dispersions of designer clothing and looking down your nose at the masses?
  • 5 0
Perhaps he's just... 'Fast, way faster than you...' lol
  • 3 0
 Looks like a.... Redlap
  • 4 0

If you're gonna have 2 riders in a bike promo video then surely you'd have them both riding THE SAME BIKE?
  • 1 0

somehow the riders managed to make this bike look super heavy.
  • 7 6
The Gambler looks so fucking sick. I can never get enough of that thing.
  • 1 0
the footage was mostly recycled from another video...
  • 3 3
Is this bike called the "Gambler" because you are gambling with life and death while riding it?
  • 1 0
Does anyone know where this clip was shot?
  • 1 0
Some of it was at Hafjell and some was shot at Åre...cant say for the whole clip but i recognize those two places at least.

This vid is from there trip to norway and sweden, there are longer edits from the same guys riding these different bike parks.
  • 1 0
Exact, shot last summer in 5 different bike parks during our trip to Norway and Sweden Wink

  • 1 2
my new best friend? oh well sorry nathan
  • 2 2
 beatyfull...
  • 3 4
Its nice, but its no S-works demo or Treck session
  • 3 1
It`s heavy duty and made for though sh..t. Bikes that are fun in the alps look different. Demo and Session tend to bend and break here. Dont see too many - cc-kids first bike. It`s Knolly, Scott, Intense, Foes, Commencal, Morewood and some others.
