Race morning brought fog, mist and cool temperatures to Laguna Seca, the perfect weather for racing bikes. It also lent a certain atmosphere to the race that we haven't seen in years. |

Steve Smith had a bit of a mishap and missed his start time this week, he was none too pleased about it. He still rolled down during a no show for the fans, but wasn't given an official time. |

The fans came out in drives once again this year. The track may not be great, but the support from the public is nearly unmatched at any other race venue. |

On the fastest section of the track, visibility shifted between poor to terrible all morning. The sun finally came out just before race time and burned the fog off in an instant. |
