Joel Smith has this new Tomac Primer 200 on display.

This frame is said to be 3 lbs lighter than it's older brother the Primer 203

Production models will likely be in the $1600 USD range (frame only).

Bryson Martin Jr.'s Intense GoPro Team bike.

AME makes heated MTB grips and it got me thinking about all those cold and wet rides that we do in the Pacific North West during the long Winter months.

This Tomac Supermatic 120 was equipped with the K-Edge modified Dura Ace electric shifters

Custom shift pods that direct mount to the XTR brake lever.

The front derailleur worked really well with the 2x10 gearing of the XTR groupo.

Custom K-Edge derailleur cage and modified spring made for a firmer and more precisely tuned to MTB applications rear derailleur.

Brandon Semenuk's custom slope bike is as pro as you can make a set.

Hydraulic Gyro and custom head tube badge make this bike capable of continuous tail whips and bars spins without worrying about the cables getting tangled up.

Norco's new Sight will be replacing the Fluid line up and the changes are huge - stay tuned for a separate article on this.

Manimal Ross Schnell's Trek Remedy is an AM riders dream - the spec is out of this world!

Fox head likes to roll in the big bus and their Giant Team riders were on hand signing autographs through out the show. Expect to see 1 if not all the team on the DH podium this weekend.

I'm curious about the Dura-Ace on the tomac, the line-lessness is awesome but wouldn't all that road tech stuff break easily on a mountain bike? Is that K-Edge cage and spring the only mods that make it more durable? I really wanna know..
and why is RaceFace's demise Banshee's gain?

Electric shifting is a bit too much of an innovation for me (at the moment), but still.. to be honest 1) no rear mech can take serious punishment so why even bother (but they could make this cage a little bit shorter I think

) 2) have you ever hit your front mech? that's pretty much impossible.
and about this RaceFace/Banshee thing - I can only guess that this guy used to work for RF and now Banshee hired him.

i understand about the front mech but still..is a different cage and spring all it takes to make a road mech mountain-worthy?
why don't they just make XTR electronic shifting...

Thank Galgamech that there is no electronic XTR... You dropped your chain publish to facetube. Maybe we can get a satnav for World Cup tracks with Greg Minnars voice. In two hundred meters take the left line. In twenty meters jump off the red painted rock into the left hand corner. You are out of the track - do you want me to reroute? It wouldn't work with Hill but Brayton would be a killer: jump off the root to the right then send it from the drop. You missed that you piece of fossilised shait!

They don't make it? although i have little doubt most road mechs would hold up on mountain bikes, and you quite often see dh or 4x bikes running 105 mechs, however Cancellara was running cable articulated di2 instead of his normal electronic stuff for the paris rubaix because it held up better in the mud and getting shaken up by cobbles, and considering the crazy money and damn near infinite resources he would have available to him i cant believe he wouldn't have done that without good reason and most of my local singletrack is a bit more gnar than the paris roubaix course

Man if that is not a misprint about the Tomac Primer 200 being MSRP at $1600 for a sweet downhill frame,
I know what my next frame is. I'm all over that plus it looks like it will be bad ass too.

great recap - lotsa hot swag. i want one'a them there stickers! and that tomac, while a little plain, is easily the BEST-LOOKING Tomac I've yet seen. Period. Great paint, reasonable lines, lighter-weight. Solid.

What is the advantage of presta valves over the normal schrader ones? most of the bikes here have them,but i only find them annoying?

I wonder how the grip is on those a'me heated lock on grips. Wouldn't warm hands hinder your gripping ability? You know, oils and what not.

Buahaha, yes according to Mayan calendar it could be the first of April today. Heated grips fk me... Screw electric shifting too, I want a remote, radio controlled anal contraptor activated shifter. A bit of practice and you beat SRAM exact actuation. If the gear is on, you get feedback vibration. Dura-rectum group FTW!
