Another Best Western provided a great night's sleep for the whole crew. Now that we are with the Calgary Cycle gang, it means early mornings for the racers and I figured-heck ya let's get out there. Off to the Laguna Seca race way and the start of our 4 days here at the
2007 Sea Otter Classic. Skies are bright, the air is cool and the wind is blowing. It's gonna be a nice day.
Wandering around the venue this morning and looking for the media center allowed us to look at the early set up of the Magura Flow Show and the Red Bull / SRAM Furry Fury jumps. Turns out the media center was way the hell up the hill that we came down to begin with-haha that's what I get for not asking for directions first.
This is my 3rd year attending the Sea Otter Classic and I have never made it over to the DH course, so that was my first adventure on my list of things to do this year. It's a nice walk for sure and it was really good to see the pros in practice this morning. Here are some shots from the course:
After the pros DH practice I figured I'd check out the pits to see some of the people, the parts and the set ups that were here this year. Since there are so many different crews on hand, its tough to cover it all in an hour. I'll be dropping pics onto the site over the next few days, but here are some from today.

Some 2008 Norcos:
Today was just the beginning for all the new bits that Sea Otter unveils, so I am looking forward to seeing what the companies have instore in the coming days. I think I'll spent some time over at the Dual Slalom tomorrow, so stay tuned for that.
