Warm Up | March 17-18 | Pogno (NO)

PRO1 | April 13-14 | Sestri Levante (GE)
PRO2 | May 18-19 | Punta Ala (GR) | Opening Enduro World Series
PRO3 | June 1-2 | Location to be confirmed
PRO4 | June 22-23 | Madesimo (SO)
PRO5 | July 19-20-21 | Sauze d’Oulx (TO)
PRO6 | October 19-20 | Finale Ligure (SV) | Final Enduro World Series

Dan Atherton

Kicking off in mid-March, the series heads to Pogno for a pre-season warm-up and the awards from the 2102 season. Racing gets properly underway 13 April in Sestri Levante, and it is followed by five more PRO races leading up to the traditional season finale in Finale Ligure in October. Among those dates are two World Series races - the opening round at Punta Ala 18 - 19 May and the international season also draws to a close in Finale Ligure 19 - 20 October. Over these seven dates, they will cover some of the best mountain biking Italy has to offer - from the dramatic, high alps of Madesimo to the sun-dappled beaches and rolling hills of Punta Ala

Entries open soon!

Alongside the PRO races, Superenduro also run a series of Sprint races. These are slightly smaller, over shorter distances and with less special stages than the PRO races. They are the perfect introduction to enduro racing.

Sprint1 | April 28 | Pogno (NO)
Sprint2 | May 5 | Piero (CN)
Sprint3 | September 8 | Tolfa (RM)
Sprint4 | September 29 | Palazzuolo sul Senio (FI)

Megavalanche is neither an enduro race, nor part of the Superenduro circuit, so there's no reason why it would be there.

so what is it according to you .. ?

Well its organisers call it marathon DH (descente marathon), so I'd probably go with that.

flag cyberhawk Plus (Dec 20, 2012 at 4:50)
did it 3 times now.. it is a little DH.. but its more all round MTB or enduro.. racers do it in one hour.. i did it in 1.5H.. thats pretty enduro for me lol

Enduro is a very specific race format - individual racing over a series of timed stages. The Megavalanche is a long, mass-start race, so it's not an enduro race.

Who says an enduro can't be a mass start race? That's BS. Enduro is a vague specialty, there is no clear definition. If it were a real "marathon DH" they would be on DH bikes in the Maga. They are not, they ride the same bikes racers use in "enduro" races; All Mountain bikes.

MegaAvalanche is the king of enduro races, basically the World Championship of enduro racing. No other enduro type of event has the history and prestige, or is more well known.

There are so many enduro series now it's hard to say which one is most important, but there is no doubt about which enduro race is the most important. MagaAvalanche is the king of them all! Hope Nico wins next year.

Oregon enduro series, some in Cali also.

Why are they calling it the world series if all the events are in Europe?

Uphill? Guess the doped pain addicts signed up already. Lance is that you?
  • + 1
flag finnrambo (Dec 20, 2012 at 17:00)
don't do that, your swiss correct? I'm no Lance fan or anything so I'm not defending him but lets take a look at fabian cancellara in a TT and tell me he's not doping, or alex zulle, christhoph girschweiler, oscar camenzind, and stefan rutimann. to be honest it's actually hard to find a list of swiss riders doping but just keep in mind when you start lance shit that swiss aren't any cleaner than USA in the doping game
  • + 1
flag Angryham (Dec 22, 2012 at 1:04)
I don't think the Swiss doped to the extent that lance did Razz
  • + 1
flag finnrambo (Dec 22, 2012 at 2:46)
that is a good point, if wakaba was swiss not spanish I couldve listed at least 50 more names in the past 20 years no problem, but it's still a "people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones" type of issue, anyway all sports do it so who cares at this point, list of names could go on for years if every single sport had a teardown of whos doping and whos not

What is the main difference between A PERSON WHO READS THE ARTICLE and a person that doesn't?
