Video: Tales From The Soil Episode 1: Belgian Soil

Feb 4, 2014
by Bart Cautaerts

Nico Vink is proving that the best adventures often start close to home as he kicks off his worldwide tour by going bananas on his home turf of Belgium. It's wet and cold but the weather doesn't affect the downhill trails, pump tracks and dirt jumps that Nico loves the most. Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the forest and then take another to imagine yourself flying through the trees at speeds that should be illegal.

Now this is exactly what a mountain bike video should be. Pure shred...a slight hint of bike sounds and rock and roll. Well done!

Don't underestimate the Belgian DH tracks - I've ridden Chaudfontaine a few weeks ago and some sections are definitely up there with the Alps when it comes to techy-ness. Minus the lifts and nice weather obviously but still a mountainbiking mecca.

Hey epic TV, why dont you add a couple more incredibly intrusive pop-ups during your video, i love being distracted and having nearly 1/3 of the screen blocked by useless messages...
