Over the winter, Chris Rice, a Teva employee who was passionate about mountain biking, passed away suddenly. In his honor, Teva has released a limited edition version of their Links shoe. All proceeds from the sale of the shoe, which retails for $110 USD, will be donated to the Santa Barbara Mountain Bike Team through the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). The shoes will only be available for purchase online at www.teva.com/chrisrice.
I currently ride a set of 5.10's given to me by a friend who was given them from none other than Randy Spangler (no joke, I watched it happen at 7springs mtb park in Somerset, PA)... anywho, I ride them because they once belonged to Spangler even though they're an 11 and I ride a 10.5. It's time to move on to a new DH shoe and I think this tribute is going to have to be it. Viva la Teva.
I thought teva was sandals made for a fat hairy pot smoking kind budz out of a dildo shaped glass bowl? Nice to know they changing image now after 15 years of weed festivals.
sweet shoes....we need to do something so shipping to canada with duties and taxes....that way we can get in on the action....great tribute but if the same amount of money is going to government as the cost of the shoes.....it makes it way to hard to justify
chatted with the guy who runs Teva at dinner a couple of nights ago and have a son on UCSB mountain team. Wish I'd know about this at the time so I could've thanked him in person. Thank you Teva, a company being good and doing good.
I just recently got some Teva Links, and they are awesome shoes. Great comfort and feel, stiff and the rubber is durable as hell. Neat pattern on the bottom too. I'd definitely recommend them. I won't need a new pair for a while, but I'm considering grabbing these.
will get my pair tomorrow, after almost 3 months of waiting...me and my friend each bought a pair thru another friend who's in the US, they've just arrived, probably the only pairs existing here in our country...STOKED!
Bummers - tried to order it, but seems there order coding is not refreshing properly. It does list other countries but now canada, if you open a membership you can choose Canada, but then you can't choose your province... Hmmmmm someone's web developers need to look at this...
