“The Legend” – Sam Pilgrim’s signature grips

Exactly one year ago Sam Pilgrim signed the contract with NS Bikes becoming our full-time team rider. Since then he won almost every competition that he took part in and finished the 2011 season on 3rd place in the overall FMB World Tour ranking. He is also the first European rider who made it to the overall podium, becoming a Legend in the MTB world.


To celebrate this great year we decided to make Sam's own signature grips. And here they are - the Legend!


The pattern in the grips is actualy the story of NS Bikes and Sam Pilgrim etched into the grips letter by letter. One grip is dedicated to Sam, the other to the NS design team. Both stories are actually rap lyrics, and one day you will hear them being performed live by the guys themselves.


It was very difficult to have this product made - the technology is completely different than that used in grips with a regular pattern. However now you will be able to study the history of our company and check out what Sam loves in life when your catching your breath between runs. These two stories together form a true image what NS Bikes stands for. A combination of our design team’s dedication and experience with the suggestions, ideas and feedback from the best riders. One cannot exist without the other - United we stand, divided we fall.


The grips have a great feeling, have plenty of body but remain reasonably thin.


They feature bolt-on plastic bar-ends with elastomer inserts as this is the ONLY solution that works with all kinds of handlebars - both steel & alloy. The bar-end is our own custom shape and features a moulded NS logo. It's thicker than most stock solutions so it should last a little bit longer. The outside diameter is slightly smaller than our grips so it won't feel uncomfortable in your palms.


Oh yeah one more thing. We know that Sam has it all - lots of bikes, cash, chicks. But he lacks one thing. A front tooth! So we decided to help. These grips come with his missing tooth that can be cut off and used as a great keyring.
