Theophillus Ngubane or “Theo” grew up and lives in the Township of Kayamandi in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Theo first fell in love with bicycles and dirt at the Songo.info BMX track that was built in the Township.

Last year was his first time racing downhill and having a Downhill bike. In that short time Theo became the first ever black South African to race downhill at a World Championship. But for Theo riding has nothing to do with the colour of your skin or where you are from, it's about that pure joy, that amazing feeling only a bicycle can bring and experiences, and bonds you have with others who feel the same way.

How sweet is this? Being able to see people from all over riding bikes. I don't race but I understand where he is coming from when he is trying to explain the feeling that he gets just being there. I think we know what he is talking about. Really glad I got to see that.

What is wrong with people. Stop labeling people! "The first black South African to compete etc etc..."
  • 1 1
Found the writting QUITE OFFENSIVE actually, maybe thats the difference of people growing up in UK rather than past atlantic ones, what was it called, land of exiled or northern america? (there is a difference between these two words, ain't it).
Respect eachother brothers, what kind of writting is this. You cannot write it just because he is saying it.
"riding has nothing to do with the colour of your skin or where you are from". What the hell man.
