If I ever won the lotto pot I would definitely buy some land, get some insurance, and build one free for all!!! Out here its always too much red tape with the fat cats in city hall. It took 15yrs to finally get skate parks. (that are too small and with no imagination in the design)
the sickest thing about claudio caluori is that besides being the team manager of a top notch team, before the world champs when most of the team was injured he went and qualified for the champs, raced there himself legend
Some how I feel like America would squash these concepts often and make it miserable for it's citizens to get out and ride- we are some days in my opinion too caught up in safety, too caught up in worry, caught up in lawsuits and not enough time spent on living life and getting the most of out what we can provide for our communities and for each other. There are crowds of people waiting to drop in on these pump tracks and they are free! If Disney opened up a bike Attraction and charged, no one would come, but if every rule city in each state made pump tracks like these, the tourism would boost the economy like crazy!
"they" want obedient workers.. not happy people.. - george carlin' and local toerism wouldnt help the/your economy.. (in honesty i think nothing is wrong with your economy, if you take out the rotten ruling apples) but ! i would boost morale.. it would help kids to be creative and sport and live healthier. and the concrete ones would be flooded with scooter kids i am affraid,,,
I helped my town get a pump track built in the city park. With the efforts of our local mountain bike club, IMBA, plus a FOX grant, we were able to convince the city of how it would benefit the town. After a year of 'not giving' up and doing as the city asked. They gave us a section of the city park and we've had a sweet little pump track for just over a year now. Every town and city needs skate parks and pump tracks.
Dirtyknobbies, I'm an elementary PE teacher looking to build a pump track on our school grounds. I have got the green light from the district and now must embark on getting funds for the project. Any suggestions? I checked the FOX website and didn't find anything, and the IMBA has several resources to check out. Just thought I'd ask for some advice from someone who has already blazed the trail on this process. Thanks for any advice you can give. ArmyOf4
i ride it as much as possibel. There are so many lines. And the best thing if u dont want to get dirty while training on an evening should have all bigger cities out there!
Pump has another few meanings up in Scotland, theyre all good really but it can mean a very different thing.
for example
i spent the day at the pump track and later on when i went to pump my bird but i had to pump so she wouldnt let me near her
