I think its going to be an interesting & tough year for Trek..no one mentioned that they wanted to win badly or believed that they could win..Most hoped to be top 10 or 20, which is awsome and a true feat, for sure, But you gotta believe when your at the start gate, that you own that track and are the fastest..
The images where beautiful, but i've find it too long, skip half of the first and second then didn't listen to the other except for 30 sec of skip trought the video.
see normally i dont mind slowmo when everyone is complaining about it. that thats just ridiculous. that being said. i want leov to beat Dan Atherton this year!!
i like how blatant they were when they said, "There are some riders out there that I definitely want to beat, especially some... other people" Brooke MacDonald
Its clearly not the freerider VXI. That link is quite different than the shoe he has on at 0:56. The entire rear of the right side, behind the 5 logo, is totally different
Trek desperately needed to do something like this after how badly the Gwin situation aired out to everyone. Unfortunately for them, and most specifically Brooke Mac, TWR just isn't relevant anymore at this point; everyone's focusing on Spec, CRC, and then maybe TWR, although I'd probably put the Syndicate ahead of them. This has to be fueling TWR, though, expecting a big year from The Bulldog.
"everyone's focusing on Spec, CRC, and then maybe TWR" Are you just saying that because that's the order pinkbike got around to posting the team info? and if it's on pb, it has to be true...
brook is a fantastic rider and i'm sure he will produce what the results.... just cant believe Trek would show every shot of him on their bike in slow mo..... FFS ..... i want to see him flat out, not bouncing around some corner. I never watched the rest of them after that slow mo montage.
Yeah I agree, saying "everybody is focusing on" based on media coverage is speculative at best. Now, no doubt eyes are on Gwin... but to say that Trek is irrelavant without him?? ... I have to disagree.
I have to disagree about TWR being irrelevant. I think with Gwin gone, they're going to push their riders harder to make a statement that they weren't dependent on Gwin. I definitely going to pay more attention to TWR this season.
Hutchinson and devinci are two teams i think are gonna kill it. But has everyone forgotten about Giant? Factory offroad should be awesome this year. Hart and Needles train like mad men for the win and of coarse their companies pour an insane amount of money into them to be the best. Also with the addition of marcelo guiturez (SP?) These guys are gonna rip!
surprised at all the neg props, all i was getting at was really the truth, in that teams like specialized and crc, with their big offseason moves, have been very up-front with their fans and pushing their teams/products more than past years. whether you like it or not, pinkbike is a huge media outlet for the dh scene, and while my opinion has nothing to do with the "order pinkbike got around to posting team info," both the specialized and crc teams have been pushing tons of stuff on media outlets to stay out in the forefront among fans. these rider profiles by TWR are the first thing i can remember them doing since the gwin situation exploded and there were threats of lawsuits. and just to reiterate my closing sentence, which i feel is being ignored in my original post, i'm expecting a big year from Brooke and TWR, and as a fan i just wished they had shown the confidence in their lineup like spec and crc did from the very beginning, rather than drifting to the background for a bit.

completely different shoe.
