2009 TLD Lids

Troy Lee Designs - TLD is for the Worlds Fastest Racers. Here are the first spy shots of the new TLD lid range from our man in the know Si Paton.. These images are so hot, we recommend you wear protective glasses before clicking here..
First up I'm no professional photographer so apologies if these images aren't A1 enough for you. I was too busy shaking with excitement and drooling when these were taken.
When TLD dropped these round to Superfly Central I was hoping they weren't going to pull out a new range of lids covered in flame designs. A huge sigh of relief as one by one they came out of their boxes and shone right back at us.
RRP £244.99
The Lucha is a comosite lid and weighs in at 1,115grams in a medium as does the composite history.
The history helmet below if you look closely shows every sticker TLD have ever produced during their 25+ years plus of "history", get it?.
TLD Composite History RRP £244.99
New for 2009 are the nylon lock bolts that are inserted into the helmet at the side of your temples. This is where the side screws screw into for the peak to attach. These are designed to pull out during a big impact meaning less chance of your head getting turned as the peak digs in and possibly causing a neck injury.
TLD Carbon Crow RRP £329.99
Another close look and you can see a crows beak and eyes right by the mouthpiece. The carbon weave is very subtle and the detail on these lids is unbelievable. TLD have really lifted the beam on these ones.
TLD Carbon Crow RRP £329.99
Think these are good? News of a D3 with a couple of signature models on their way? Will we see a Sam Hill and a Steve Peat version or even a Josh Bryceland one, how about that? Slightly different mold, venting system and padding. Only time will tell, what time? Easter. Cost? Expect there to be a number four in there. That's just my guess so don't count on that for sure.
TLD Carbon History RRP £329.99
Will the history lids in carbon be the best sellers? Only time will tell. Last year the composite Peaty lid was the No1 lid for TLD. Good news is that they have relaunched it again for 2009 so for all you Peaty fans another bite at the cherry.
TLD Carbon History RRP £329.99
How heavy are the carbons in M/L? Answer = 946grams

HOLY CRAP THEY ARE THE COOLEST HELMETS EVER!!!!!!!!(yh i like them)
These ar lookin' so dope! I really want to buy a new one, but every time I am about to buy one, I just see the new ones that are just coming out, and I decide to wait, then the same thing happens again! It's ridiculous!
yeah ill most likely get down propped for this but the price of them is farrr to high, my friend bought one and it was £150, so basicly $230 .. too much if you ask me when the same job would be done with a £70 661
there sick helmets but i would rather spend 250
4 on new cranks than a new helmet that i dould destroy

troy lee designs is the best helmet you will ever buy and the last helmet company you will ever try.
yaaah.. they are. like i bought a 06 TLD. and lasted 3 weeks then i crashed head first.. gone $400. now i bought a second one same one and hasnt been broken yet... like 800$ on helmets. quite expensive. but worth it cuz they r the sickest helmets ever and the lightest I think.
*i know my writing is sh*t. i dont care write so dont tell me I cant write.*

alright first off to Fingel that is incorrect because these have technology in them to protect your dome better than other helmets thats why they are so expensive
and second those rasta gloves are dope!

they are really cool except the big TLD logo... kinda ruins it, its to much for ppl showing off, but the grafics are amazing!
beautiful helmets but i would never buy one, sure they looks amazing but unless your sponsored its pretty pointless to have one, helmets get banged, droped, scuffed, and eventually shattered so there is no point in paying 250$+ for a helmet when something like a 100$ Mace helmet is gona protect you just the same. love the desings though, really like the history model.
yeah ^^^^^ is right you guys are all saying its to expensive but when you want protection for your head then you want the best (tlds). and anyways if you have tryed a tlds on there such a nice fit
I spent $160 bucks for my sons helmet. He went over the handle bars into a rock.cracked the helment. His head did not. spent another $160 on a new one. He slipped of a ladder bridge and broke the mouth guard not his teeth. a good helment that fits right is worth every penny.
i paid £80 for my 661 helm ive falen off 3 times and hit my head bad but my helmet is still wearable you shudnt have to replace it every crash
there was one that said Moto was there not? I just asked my friend that same question today though too.
TLD makes lids for everything. They do Moto lids.. as well as indy/F1 lids. They're amazing. but a little over priced My Specialized carbon deviant helmet is half the price and just as light and I've thrown myslef over the bars on the WC bromont course smacking my face off rocks. no scratches and good protection. Id hate to scratch any of these helmets. They're only for the elite, the sponsored or the people who have too much money.

TLD has the best deigns on full face helmets. I'd want one but i'd be afraid to crash on it and mess up the art work lol

Sickest mass production paint schemes to date!

TLD lids don't shatter if you crash, they are not only the sweetest lids out there hands down they are super tough and light and compfortable and you're right expensive but,I think they have come down in price-no?
if you like "dope" looking lids then go buy one, find an air bursh ( or someone that knows how to really well) and have them make you your own? thats what i did with my non-full face
there sick
4get how expensive they are, save ya head my tld i had 3years still goin, longer then my 661 i had and i got a new fox one, and tld still feel the best, bikes are a expensive in some people books anyways, just got to work hard for nice stuff
