You see that light brown thing that moves? Right above the bottom right corner, It jumps right and moves..jesus I am starting to feel pretty crazy too. Do it frame by frame.
Through all of this, I caught myself checking the vid 3 times, laughing at the comments, having to go to the washroom and now find that the final outcome is still the same as with most other vids... I wanna go ride but there is like 2 feet of snow on EVERYTHING outside... awesome edit Anthill!, and great conversation lads!
It's not a traditional demo reel because it wasn't sub-par. All the shots felt like they fit together, instead of feeling like they're just random bits and pieces.
Maybe not in terms of vision or the technical side of things. But Anthill is shooting things in the four corners of the world in ways that the "rest" probably can only dream of at this point and time. Not saying Silvia wouldn't shoot the hell out of those places, but they probably don't have it in the budget right now.
The rock climbing is in Squamish, where they're from (a huge destination for climbing). The climber was Jamie Finlayson on The Silent Menace in the Grand Wall boulders - crazy gap jump to start. Don't know that it will be its own film - maybe commercial or just demo filming.
Great work guys! This is a quality showreel that really shows the maturity of these film makers. Notice the use of a more behind-the-scenes look that really showcases the professional work they put into each shoot and not just a series of random clips strung together with music.
Absolutely stunning. The ski racing shots brought in my previous obsession as well. Those guys get so creative with their camera angles, it's amazing. And that scrub - I think if most of us here tried that we would simply wash out sideways into the trees. Commitment!
Thanks everyone for all the positive comments. We haven't updated our demo reel in a few years so it's really just a collection looking back at some of our favorite shots.
I was gunna say there is definitly clips from follow me in there, non the less sick video for sure, reminded me of one of those super awesome videos you catch yourself watching for like half an hour on the big screen tvs at best buy or futureshop
I reckon Anthill should release a feature length behind the scenes, I love the little snippets of seeing those guys do their magic with cameras and equipment.
