To the music man... take yourself outside... look at the stars... understand if you can what good music is... then think about what you have done to one of the seminal songs of music history... be ASHAMED!
You guys just straight butchered Neil Young... I agree with Tmackstab never do this again! Using the original "Old Man" would have been more than amazing... Just my opinion though.
I get where you guys are coming from, but it really wasn't that bad. It wasn't good by any means, but it wasn't that bad. Basically just had some slightly beefed up drums thrown over the top. Could have been much worse.
I figured the song would be hit and miss for a lot of you guys but if it really wasnt doing it for you then just focus on the epic footage of that fork going to work! Music is an expressive choice in editing and personally I really like that remix, almost as much as the original. Enjoy!
Fair enough I respect that. Truthfully I'm glad to even see some Neil Young on Pinkbike haha! Even if it was a mixed version of it. It's just you're not supposed to mess with an already perfect song.
super stoked to watch this company go places.....the shock and fork look amazing.....I'll order a shock when they are available, but a fork, well I'm waiting for a 160 single crown which I'm hoping aint to far away.......
We probably won't bring a long travel single crown out soon, the weight will be higher because of the tubes and the massive crown that's neede to keep things strong. But....we are thinking about it! Cheers, DVO.
That remix is awesome! The original version of that song is boring as hell anyway. This video really shows that fork doing some work on that course in PA. Good job to that kid if he really is only 17 years old, and great job to the DVO crew for making shit happen!
That song would have never suited a bike clip in it's original form. Get over it whiners!! You all missed how Cedric ripped the sh#t out of that track!
It would be interesting to see the extent of an inverted fork. Maybe testing a low travel fork for dj or 4x. Post the results for the public, even if it fails. It would be interesting to see
The riding footage is awesome though. Turn the volume down, watch CG shred the track and how he barley uses his front brake on such a burley course is ridiculous. Cheers DVO!
Props to you guys for capturing CG and letting him ride with your products. I believe you couldn't have found a more influential spokesman, who happens to ride that fast, for your products. Also props to you guys for keeping up with customer relations and replying to posts (whether good or bad) and staying connected. "When" I can afford a rear shock, I will be buying it for these reasons alone.
The Emerald without the CTA weighs 2950 grams. We are still deciding on which CTA version to use (med-stiff-stiffest) with the stiffest weighing in around 250 additional grams. The majority of the weight is with the oil. There's 300cc's in the damper and 100cc's in the air side. Without a lot oil, performance and reliability becomes poor. Cheers, DVO!
"Old man take a look at these legs, they're all black and blue."
Meds mybe kickn in now...
Cedric you're awesome!
