Hate to be a dick, but whoever set that angle should be fired.
  • 26 0
Agree, neck aches now from trying to look up... Nice riding though!
  • 7 1
Heres a shot of them coming down.

He is the team manager. Super cool dude. Helped me get my bike in check and made sure that I would be able to race this weekend.
  • 5 3
Track is soooo short at race pace they'll be done in under a minute easy
  • 9 10
merica has some awesome looking trails compared to here
  • 6 0
that was about half of the course
  • 4 0
there were some onboard cams of red bull rampage way worse...
  • 4 3
That's great. What's that have to do with this?
  • 2 0
Pretty sure he was responding to Chunder's comment.
  • 6 0
You have to take a min or two to really check angles for a perfect head cam shot imo. lol I never blame racers, freeriders, or managers for off angle gopro shots. There's more important things going on!
  • 1 0
 Ah, gotcha.
  • 4 2
All I'm saying is that if your company is going to provide a course preview, you damn well better dial in the angle. KHS should've stuck to what they know and thrown their name on someone else's video. Sorry, had to say it.
  • 3 1
You would probably be sad if I told you that there are trails WAY better than fontana :-)
  • 1 0
 track looks so much fun
  • 10 1
We defiantly screwed that up! We will get that proper next race!
  • 6 0
 Good to be defiant though!
  • 47 0
Good to see Logan up and riding. Smile
  • 8 2
Yeah amazed to see him back on the bike so soon. Not so amazed by this course, I know it's been said before and I'll get negged but this course is poor and I dunno why it gets so much coverage on here.
  • 11 0
It gets coverage because Aaron Gwin, Marc Beaumont, Gee Atherton, Mik Hannah, Sam Blenkinsop, Steve Peat, Niko Mullaly, Mitch Ropelato, Logan Binggeli and many, many more go out there to race. If you've never seen the courses, some of them get very very steep with a large amount of chunk. The courses are short, and it is ghetto, but if big names keep showing up, it'll still get big coverage.
  • 6 0
To name a few more: Shaun Palmer, Wil White, Brian Lopes. I've seen JD Swanguen, Nathan Rennie, Chris Kovarik race here, Melissa Buhl, Eric Carter, Rich Houseman. Seen Cam McCaul spectating. And there have been some bad accidents here. Its the only DH series in SoCal I know of. Not sure if Rim Nordic has one. Maybe this year Big Bear will?
  • 1 0
Good justification of the coverage the race gets guys, it only leads my mind to the question that why are so many racers attracted to ride/race it?

I can only assume that a lot of the bike companies have their HQs based not too far away and a lot of non US racers spend (or used to spend) their off season training in sunny SoCal. Either way, point taken. It must be cool to live nearby and have so many big names come race here.
  • 5 0
Thats it exactly. Especially cause you can ride all winter here and I guess Fontana is pretty central to most in SoCal.
  • 3 0
 Yup that's it 100%.
  • 2 0
also for many of us, these are the closest races that go on, and yeah some times the courses are meh but the atmosphere is cool and you get to spend a weekend biking with the bro's. just my two cents
  • 36 1
I hate when my GoPro comes loose in the case and bounces around making that noise.... first world problems.
  • 4 0
Hahaha, I'm with you on this one.
  • 14 0
the little white thing that comes with the gpro thats shaped like a prong, slip that into the release space and the shaking will disappear
  • 6 3
It's not a gopro its a "reel" camera...whatever that is.
  • 2 0
Ya use the white thing or cut up electrical tape into strips small enough to go on the mount, to make the two peices of the mounts fit tighter, preventing it from being lose
  • 15 0
Mitch gonna smash it on a Stumpy 29er.
  • 3 1
Followed by a load of pylons on here saying it isn't a real DH course...
  • 1 0
And that will be a fair comment if he does smash everyone on a 29er...or any trail bike for that matter.
  • 1 0
 and crashing at firt berm.
"he shouldn't have turn right" TP
  • 1 0
Or maybe a comment displaying zero understanding of how capable 29'ers are.
  • 1 0
No one is saying 29ers are not capable. On a real downhill track trail bikes of any wheel size will not beat DH bikes down it. A trail bike will never win at Fort William, Val di Sole, Mont St Anne, etc. If I had the money my enduro race bike would be a 29er.
  • 1 0
He didn't... Aiello won. But still, it looks like more of an XC trail going downhill than a proper DH course.
  • 9 0
Anyone else tilting their heads back trying to get the camera angle right. I could not make myself stop. Amazing Logan is back up and riding. What's up with Soderstrom and Rhedder?
  • 2 0
I don't know if they have Logans mutant healing factor.
  • 1 0
@jiberjaber, defiantly with you on the camera angle, would've made the video a lot better! Still looks pretty sick though.
  • 1 0
 The course I mean
  • 1 0
Yeah three months off after a broken femur, that is unreal! I guess the Pinkbike community healing vibes got to Logan. Brett Rheeder is riding hard again, as for Martin I don't know.
  • 1 1
 Kush an alcohol
  • 6 0
I can't believe logan is back and racing already. Mutant healing indeed.

Oh, and Fontana courses are typically 2:00-2:30 including the long pedal section we lovingly refer to as "the wall" which is not a metaphorical wall, but a real wall separating homes from the trail. It's a 250 yard flat sprint along that wall.
  • 6 0
What Logan is back riding already?! Way to go dude! I'm just beginning to walk around after 12 weeks. Wanna send me some of your femur healing powers?! haha
  • 6 0
Good to see Logan back on the bike after that heavy crash at Rampage.
  • 1 0
Did my 1st downhill race since 1999, I enjoyed it. Saw more crashes than I see at a motocross race which is what do every weekend: it was a good course, the whole point is to race to the bottom as fast as you can not crash and have fun! Which I did Smile
  • 4 1
I miss Fontana sooo bad. Sucks that I moved and now I'm 3000 miles away Frown but at least I got mountain Creek Bike Park to make up for the loss. Have fun tomorrow guys.
  • 1 0
Miss Racing Fontana also, but at least I got Whistler bike park to make up for it Smile !
  • 4 1
Only if the climb to the trail wasn't Sooo looong. Very technical trail. Nice video.
  • 2 1
I know right? A huge pain in the ass. Was really fun coming down though.
  • 11 1
It takes like ten minutes. Sack up
  • 9 3
I got something you can kiss. If I was in better shape it would be no problem, but I'm not in real good shape. Fat people and hills don't mix to well.

 RIP Chopper
  • 4 0
rookie mistake on the camera angle...first time?
  • 3 0
Same guy that set up straits pov for winning rampage run?
  • 1 0
femurs take much longer than 2.5 months to heal, the bone is far from even being filled. one small fall and logan is seriously fucked and risks lifetime permanent damage. not smart at all to riding like that. be careful bud
  • 1 0
Not all breaks are the same, some heal quicker than others. I'm sure he knows what he's doing
  • 1 0
Yep, i'll be taking it easy for the whole 2014 season. In my case, I shattered it into a few places and have had more complications. It's rad to see him back already though, hopefully he stays safe! He must have had a clean break because that's healed very quickly if he's back on the bike already.
  • 1 0
Bummer man, I missed the 2012 season for a broken femur, but the good news is you can ride before you can walk
  • 1 0
I broke my femur and have a full rod in there now. I was back and riding xc in 3 months which my docs were not happy about but I was not shredding dh til about 6-7 months. I'm not talking negatively about Logan in any way I just don't want to see him get reinjured bc he wasnt properly recoverd.
  • 3 0
Looks like an enduro track ...
  • 3 1
Not really a downhill course in my opinion. You could do that with a am bike ._.
  • 1 0
Yep. If that's a DH track, then I'm a DH rider (hint: I'm not).
  • 2 2
If those dorados were any of the 3 pairs i had they would need new seals by the end of the second practice run. I hope these guys have better luck.

has the ridiculous flat pedal section at the bottom been abandoned now?
  • 1 0
Nope. Still there and long as ever
  • 1 0
It's still there but not nearly as long. No uphill
  • 3 0
Love fontana racing! All the local trails clear out
  • 1 0
yeah totally agree , so good to see him back and riding so well already after the rampage slam. i just re watched it like a week ago.
  • 1 0
Is Bingelli still riding the 650b? If so, that should give him a bit of an advantage. But, yeah, the Enduro 29er would be a good bike for this track
  • 2 0
yep not a lot going on right now...
  • 2 0
 Watched first 20 seconds!
  • 1 0
ah un moment faut apprendre a régler sa cam.... elle film trop bas... dommage
  • 1 0
Anyone else think it was going to be a heli cam shot from the pic on news feed?
or swivel cam or whatever you call em Smile
  • 2 0
looks like a really fun track!
  • 1 0
That's only about half of the course. Once you cross the road you get the other half
  • 4 2
That's a dh track? Looks like a lot of up hill
,
  • 1 0
 There's no uphill
  • 1 0
Not much DH either though. This is just standard single track with some rocks added here and there.
  • 1 0
Glad to see ya riding Logan.....We were all rootin' for ya at Rampage, nice job on the recovery front!
  • 1 0
Great edit of the track 2 feet in front of the front wheel, shish basics !!!
  • 1 0
LAME feed. looks like some of my first go pro break in footages here in SO cal.
  • 1 0
Glad to see Logan back! That angle was all time horrible. Short but looked fun.
  • 5 5
wtf was that?? that was the worst video ever… why would you even want to put your name on that??
  • 1 0
Nice I'll be out there tomorrow racing it's an awsome course
  • 2 1
Perfect trace for enduro bike, i wish I could do it.
  • 1 1
Need an enduro bike for that course. Beginner courses on the NW cup are more gnarly than that!!
  • 1 0
when is the race? any coverage?
  • 1 0
 so short though!
  • 1 0
Not sure if that was a full run... Pretty sure runs are about 4 mins. But yeah, it is just a pile of rocks in the desert.
  • 2 0
Yeah, it was about half of a full run. After you cross the road there's the real fun part, the wall. Most people hate it but I thought it was kinda fun.
  • 1 0
Funny you say that, a guy once told me " I got something you can kiss. If I was in better shape it would be no problem, but I'm not in real good shape. Fat people and hills don't mix to well."
  • 1 0
Stop following me.Big Grin The wall is a different story It's somewhat flat-ish and I can pedal down it or just unweight the front and coast down it. I just hate walking up the road all day. Gets boring after the third time or forth time.
  • 1 0
Haha sorry I just replied to a bunch of comments at once and remembered the username. Ya the road is boring but I didn't want to wait in the shuttle line, so i pedaled up really slowly in front of the vans
  • 1 0
If my bike had a lower gear or my legs were stronger I'd have pedaled up too. One of the van drivers just didn't care at all. He hit the speed bumps in the parking lot so fast I almost bounced my head off the roof. It's interesting sitting in the back of the van, speed bumps are like 10x worse.
  • 2 2
Good to see Logan rollin, I mean the rear wheel of Logan's bike lol.
  • 1 0
 FONTUCKY !!!!
