Fort William, Scotland. In the world of international DH racing, it's a special place. Even more so for Giant Factory Off-Road Teamrider Danny Hart. This is Danny's home race. Add the fact that it was also the 2013 World Cup opener, and Danny's first World Cup after an injury last summer, and the pressure was on. This film offers an unprecedented look at that pressure—and at the intense passion to win that's shared by Danny, his family, and his teammates during the 2013 World Cup opener.
That said, I'm glad to see him putting in the work and getting on it. He's young, he'll bounce back and he's certainly got the skill. I think it's really interesting to see him grow into a physically larger person as it has changed his riding style a bit. He used to be this young kid, a mini little rocket who looked like he was hanging onto the back of a bike that was too big for him and he had this really distinct cornering style of a guy who wasn't big/strong enough to really "muscle" the bike around, almost like he was riding a horse or a big MX bike. Now he's growing and I think he's gonna be a real interesting rider to watch ride cause I can see him finding a really fast hybrid of the two styles of riding and put in some good finishes. Seldom do you get to watch someone grow up in front of the camera lens like he has within this sport.
