If front flips and back flips seem normal for Danny, I can't begin to imagine what this new film will include..

it looked like a rodeo flip he did into the air bag..

They done 4 months of work on the set, as they said 60 days of filming, and then a couple weeks of editing, its worth waiting for, my friends worked on the set and have shown me some sneak peeks of it, it is amazing!

He bikes home and passes all those unknowing people- If he bumped into one, they might say, "oh, look some guy riding a bike." But what they have no idea is that this guy is just finshing for the day shooting the biggest film of his life! So cool.

 Red bull have £££
can of red bull in pub for mixing £3.50
cost of can of red bull 1.5p
this cost peanuts to them they have 2 F1 teams

looking forward to the proper vid though

Redbull have got to be doing more than selling cans of not exactly wide spread drinks to fund all the events they do.

Would be nice to know the history behind Redbull and what else they do to make money other than sell nasty drinks Razz

( wish I could drink the stuff though , not often I feel obliged to support a soft drinks company)
  • + 4
The thing is though that not that many people buy redbull and those who do don't buy a great amount of it so it makes me wonder how on earth they can fund so much stuff (including 2 F1 teams)
  • + 3
i thought red bull was primarily a promotional company before a drink company.
  • + 2
Redbull Racing and Scudaria Toro Rosso are both self substaining teams. At this point, pretty sure after 3 Constructors Championships, various new sponsers, as well as promoting their own energy drink, RBR generates more income than spending on any given race weekend.
  • + 9
Looked at the Red Bull website quickly as I was kind of wondering the same thing. Turns out they sold 5.226 billion cans of the stuff last year. So yeah. I would say they are first and foremost a drink company.
  • - 4
they apparently import the drink where it is sold as some kind of medicine and just re package it and sell it as an 'energy drink' to us lot.
  • + 12
also, if you write idiot backwards it spells gullible
  • + 2
Every can of red bull you have ever seen was produced in 1 factory in Austria. They have not outsourced production and by maximising efficiency they have massive margins. Hence monies
  • + 4
red bull in the year 2011 made 4.8 billion in profit. That is one hell of a lot of money, monster energy over the same period made a microscopic 30 million. red bull truly are massive

@DannyJB can you post the link to this info that not many people buy redbull. Or were you just talking out your ass?
  • + 3
C-tribes, how the hell can I back information up by facts from websites?! It is just a generalisation because, in the UK atleast, not many people buy it. The value for money is poor as for 250ml you pay £1.40. That is why it is not a commonly purchased drink, it is simply too expensive. So no, I wasnt 'just talking out on my ass', I just don't have facts and figures to back up my point as it would be impossible to gain such information.

Red Bull is a media company (in addition to the obvious - a beverage company). Their sponsorship of events and athletes comes with stipulations granting them rights to the content produced at the events or by their athletes - videos, images, etc. It's pretty simple, but a genius mix of two seemingly different kinds of companies. Their media sell their product and their product sells their media.
  • + 0
@DannyJB They sold 5.226 BILLION cans last year....thats how you back an argument with facts. (Info found on their website)
  • + 2
Only over the last year have i understood what RedBull is, always saw their "wings" drawing ads in the UK, and they made little to no sense about what the product was - it was a drink, like a cola or something ..

Then i saw all; this stuff they do and their full Logo and massive sponsorship and branding and its such a different image to what the adverts on terrestrial TV gave us, TBH i didn't make the link for a while, even now i see RedBull as a media/sponsor/event management company promoting the sports that the mainstream seems to ignore - and im thankful as some of the stuff they create is simply amazing.

Never bought a RedBull to date and don't know anyone that drinks it, over here i see them drinking relentless more as it seems that more related to computer gaming .... lol .. . my son's mates make me laugh as they drink cans of "energy drinks" to sit on their arses and play f*cking shitty computer games!!!!

Anyway, i always saw RedBull as this company sponsoring all these events first and drinks second and thats where my head is with them -when i see the BUll logo i see SPORT and not drinks -
  • + 1
C-tribes, I'm not disputing that, people have already posted that information and I am well aware of it. What I was saying is that in the UK it is not bought in great volume. People don't walk into a shop and casually buy a redbull, instead they'll go and buy a bottle of coke or something. Very few people buy it, it's hard to back up with facts. If you looked up how many drinks Coca-Cola sold you'd be looking at a huge number, and they do far less advertising and sponsorship than redbull.
  • + 1
And people who do buy energy drinks tend to buy lucozade, monster, relentless and the shops own brand version of it, before they buy a proper redbull because of the price gap.
  • + 1
I would guess that only 1 in 10 drinks sold over here are redbull , most people seem to go down the lucazade monster route for energy drinks , and going by the litter found at bike trails that seems about right
  • + 0
That is BS ! Atleast in my riding club we All drink redbull by the gallon. I must order a crate a month atleast
  • + 1
BS ? really ? well I have about 10-15 people I ride with on varying weekends and none of them drink redbull , got friends out side of biking who drink energy drinks only 1-2 of them drink RB , sounds factual to me.
  • + 1
 www.statisticbrain.com/red-bull-company-statistics

Can not believe people arguing over facts when initial post states a can costs 1.5p and no one asked for this to be backed up.

I guess we all really should thank Redbull for sponsoring so many extreme sports and allowing us to witness these events rather than quibbling over facts.

I hope the Redbull media player and I meet in a dark alley someday. I'm gonna gut it like a pig and leave it bleeding on the ground.

Hmmm, I wonder if they're going to do some green-screen style CGI effects to turn all of the green ramps/blocks into cool creatures or objects? I suppose that would be a completely "new" concept for a bike movie.

every time i see a video of danny riding it gets me so pumped to ride and i dont even ride trials. very exited to see this next video finished.

So is the next episode going to be the actual film? If not then what are they gonna film when you aren't allowed to film in the hall? Hmm...
  • + 0
Well it's 60 days of filming from when this episode was released and probably 2 or 3 weeks of editing....
It looks as though this episode was shot about dec/jan/feb time so it shouldn't be to long now.....so maybe...
  • + 2
keep in mind they would have already filmed/edited this episode of imaginate. So it would be even less then the 60 days plus 2-3 weeks
  • + 2
Hmm... Well, it looks like its gonna be awesome, and as long as it comes out during my lifetime, I'm happy Smile

Red bull media sells content and turns a profit. That's why they put so much money into there 'athletes'.
  • + 6
Is that such a bad thing? I sure as hell love watching their videos and video series' (life behind bars, imaginate, etc.) and I think they deserve the money. It's not like they aren't paying the athletes really well along the way.
  • + 0
no its great, if the whole sports end is self supporting then its not reliant on the drinks side of the biz.

Redbull Media has some of the absolute best videos-Where the Trails Ends and Art of Flight are on constant loop at my house!

Is Danny off Orange bikes? What bike is that blue one?
  • + 2
He rides inspired trials bikes. That orange one isn't Orange, its Inspired. So is the blue one
  • + 1
But what about his blue Orange? Wink
  • + 1
That's MTB bike. I believe its an Orange Alpine 160, or maybe a Five. Don't expect to see it on many of his trials videos, being as he doesn't use it for that.

Definitely can't wait to see his new film when it's finished!
