As cool as that video was, it's not even close to capturing half of what the claw has done...I was hoping it'd be a 5-6 minute video collab of all of his epic stuff from NWD, The collectives, Rampage....
We owe this guy big time for what he has done for us all in terms of the sport........ and i think its time we pay him back! Feature vid or event in his name or something epic Smile
IMO, noone has pushed our sport like this man has. He is truly a legend in every sense of the word. I agree that there should be a a film on jsut him and what he has done to push our sport to the level it is at today. Respect to the Man-Champ, BEARCLAW!
Darren Berrecloth is a legend but these are all recent clips. What I was 2000-2004 Rampages, what about Collective and Roam, what about previous Crankworx? These are all new video's of him and it was the old ones that made him legend. I don't know if anyone agrees but when he 3'ed the 30 footer at crankworx years ago when everyone else was afraid, well that made him more legend then 3'ing drops now. It seems as if 3'ing a drop now is over rated, but back in the day when everyone was afraid to and he did it! Well I see that as making his legacy, because it progressed the sport like crazy! He did it then everyone else wanted to! But I know everyone will agree that its still good to see him at the top of his game and creating the most extreme slope style courses ever! But it would have been nice to see a couple older clips of him at his prime! Cheers!
If speaking about his legendary 360s, why not the first one done on video aka his Cranked In Concert part? That has to be mentioned alongside the road gap 360.
Ah shit not only did I spell Kranked with a "c" but I also forgot about that and how incredible NWD 4 was!. So they came out the same year, right? Well then I think the one in NWD 4 wins... although it was technically a 450 haha. But really though I think that was his first seggy with Green River-esque (what it looks like anyways) big mountain riding in it.
450 ha, ha...that was about as sideways as i've ever seen anyone land and ride away.
NWD4 is still my favourite riding film of all time - best opening credits too (Gracia, most stylin' on and off the bike, can't wait to see him back on it).
Being new to this whole thing, I didn't even have anything close to an idea who or what this man is, besides hugely popular and insanely good on a bike. I think I have to reconsider and educate myself for a bit, that man doesn't only seem straight up and nice, but also appears to have helped MTB becoming what it is today and what I love so much. Great job on the video, appreciate it!
I think it was Seasons where he said it took him 3 years to learn to tale whip! At that rate he should be over 100 years old being able to do everything he can!! If it took him that long to tale whip, I have massive respect for him for pushing himself to be such a capable rider.
Him, Matt Hunter and Cam McCaul are my favourite extreme freeriders, I think they all push the sport in their own way.
I think about that thing he said on seasons everytime i see him riding. He is a fighter, always trying harder. it is such a pleasure watch Darren Berrecloth and Matt Hunter riding their bikes.
i feel you clarky! Just today i watched all the old freeried videos; the collective, roam, seasons, kranked 5, NWD 10, follow me, all that, and those 3 are awesome riders/dudes.
WoW!!!!! that was one of the TOUGHEST edits i have ever seen for a rider..... WTF is he on the FIGHT CARD for the next MMA fight that was awesome. Those shots were awesome.........Thanks I'm sendin it this weekend....................

Had the pleasure of interviewing him a couple of years ago. Not only is he a super rad rider, he is also one of the nicest guys out there to talk to. He needs and deserves more than a 1:08 montage.
Let's just make a general group and call them the Super Freeride Friends. They can start doing new movies like NWD and all their "themes" but in every movie they fight crime and ride bikes! When they do big tricks or lines or gaps the words "POW" or "BAM" could show up on the screen.
