The guys from the UK's Wideopen went to stay with Roost DH in Malaga, Spain at the end of last year to blow off some steam after a long season. We're feeling a little jealous right now...
LUCKY!!! Actually I had a Mcbreakfast this morning. Followed by homemade porridge (oatmeal for youse on the other side of the pond) with apple and raisins which of course made me feel vindicated... by taking on more calories... It is snowing here though... he said to the Canadian.
Went with the ROOST guys, damn good setup, know there trails, great villa, food, brilliant uploft with the trailers so no bike damage. My first trip abroad biking and loved it. Couldn't recommend enough. Here's my sketchy vid!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=41K0gfGnssY&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Went out on a holiday with Roost in October and I have to say the whole experience was brilliant. Mal & Ben were both really cool, they did uplifts as long as we wanted, worked on our bikes late into the night if required, fed us heaps of decent food whilst catering for the more picky eaters. The trails were excellent and it was all just so easy being ferried about everyday to a great new place to ride. I'd recommend it to anyone and I can't wait to go back again.
Definitely Roost!
Super chill guys, and you actually get free breakfast, dinner and beer.
Great times, great trails, sick villa, Roost is for sure the place to go.
I'd go with Switchbacks, they are a great bunch. Have only done their Summer AM week before but definitely going back soon. I highly recommend them, they really now what they are doing, really chilled and welcoming.
Definitely RoostDH, overall set up is better. Their Villa is super pimp, they're top blokes who ride and build, and even spent a day fixing the (rare) water-damaged trails so we could ride them. They have now built several new trails of their own too, rather than just relying on existing stuff.
Forget about Roost or Switchbacks, www.thebikeshuttle.com is the best uplift company in Spain. They offer the best service you can get and even cheaper than others . (probably because they are locals) Just check this out www.pinkbike.com/video/293914
