 I love the focus of this guy, aalways working on whats next. super similar style to semenuk in that hes consistent and versatile. hes going to be one to watch for sure

 Semenuk won 5 FMB events in a row last year... And won the FMB title. Wouldn't really call that burning out.

Go watch the Life Behind Bars series. You can clearly see he was burned out. He even said it near the end of the season last year, he couldn't wait to do other non-biking things. The kid's reign at the top is over. He pushed too hard for too much i.e. burnt out.

 i think hes trying to have fun with is for a while and take a break from being as competitive as he was. i wouldnt say burned out

 hes working on a film right now , so he had to cut down his number of events for this season , hes not burnt out , hes switching it up for the season , hes still one hell of a rider , but rheeder is progressing so fast and is getting so unreal its great to see a local guy doing this

 OLskool whatever, Semenuk hasn't burnt out, and who wouldn't like to do other fun things besides ride a bike, pros need a break to, Gwin and Stevie Smith talk about it all the time, get home ride some moto, do some other non biking activities, and Semenuk currently making a movie, he is entered for some events though.

 olskooljake, your comical, stand up on stage, and please continue to tell jokes. Semenuk is from Squamish BC. Literally one of our sports mecca locations and most difficult terrain. Feel proud that he put our flag on the world stage with domination. All skill and mental capacity cannot be lost, time will prevail and so will Semenuk.

 Love all the fan boys that come out when someone makes an OBSERVATION, that might not be favorable of the mighty Semenuk.
Didn't say he sucks. Just said, clearly he's burnt out on comps and shit. Doesn't take a genius to see that and just stated that I hope Rheeder doesn't follow suit. He's on fire and has a huge future. Pro sports (to which I'm sure you all know oh so much about, seeing as your all here on PB threads instead of training, competing, racing or such) have a nasty habit of taking young talent, chewing them up then spitting them out. It would suck to see Rheeder get like that.
But, all you fanboys saw was, in there somewhere I hacked on Semenuk..... Yeah...... logic or something, something......

@nicaliperti: No I don't at all wish to have Semenuks life, hahaha. I am quite happy with my low-pro, quiet Vancouver Island lifestyle. But thanks for playing anyway. Check the door for your prize, on the way out.

@lumpys: Yeah.... There are a few other big BC MTB names, that you have left of that list that deserve far more recognition for "putting our flag on the world stage" then Semenuk. Cough, cough, Bearclaw, Simmons, Tippie, Vanderham, Kinrade, Romanuk, Shandro, cough, cough, just to name a few.

Bring on the downvotes Semenuk fanboys! You're so cute when you get your feathers ruffled over the mighty Semenuk, hahaha!

 Haha Haha are you serious what was the point of this bro everyone knows semenuk is taking a brake this year to concentrate on filming for A) life behind bars season 2 an more importantly B) the nest big film by free ride entertainment and redbull . also he will still be at around 5 events including all the diamond events hell i bet he may even win some of those so how bout u just stop talking about him being burnt out and also I wouldn't dare say the claw was burnt out cough cough what about where the trail ends cough cough what about his event and his course designing cough cough shut the hell up

 Ol School Jake is probably the only one one here who can actually ride a bike. The rest of you are lame fan boys who spend too much time watching vids. There are so many undergrounders that can lay it down, and could be sponsored yet choose not to because its feeding corporations more $$. Bunch of clownsicles commercializing an already perfect sport.
