For those who watched earlier on - if you noticed, Sal instructed Richie to hold it down with the drunk and disorderly while he would deal with the ladies - LOVE how later on he got stuck with Bam and "Basket Case", who later tried to make out with him hahahaha. It was almost too perfect. Best ironic foreshadowing I've ever seen.

On another note he did a great job MCing.

Hahaha best part of that whole beginning before the show started. And can you really blame Novak for being hammered off... whatever it was that he was on? He just came outta a year stint in jail after all. Also that lady on Bam's arm is his new gf that poses nude for no money at all. Have fun google hunting! Wink haha.

Man that looked like an awesome time... wish I didn't have to bail on it Frown

Yeah I've gotta say I was pretty disappointed with the movie. Utah hucking is fun. But an entire movie of it was definitely too much. Granted they went other places but Utah, it was still the same thing. Push up a slope, ride down a slope, crash, do it again.

flag scott-townes (Sep 24, 2012 at 0:58)
Yeah and you can say the same thing about downhill-specific movies saying that its all riding fast down trails, taking lifts or shuttles up, or with DJs saying that its nothing but going off jumps, doing a trick and landing....

You guys who were disappointed with the movie completely misinterpreted what this movie was about. Its been promoted as the first ever MTB big mountain movie to ever be made for the past 2-3 years. If you took it as anything but that, that's your own damned fault. They never presented it as anything but what it was and you just found out what kind of movies you would rather enjoy. Its no different than a park rat hating on a TGR film. Awesome that the bike community is big enough that you can watch films based specifically on what you like to watch, right?

Freeriderdeluxe1231, I couldn't disagree with you more. When I watched it I was so stoked and amped to ride, and it was midnight when I finished watching! I couldn't sleep I was that pumped to ride the next day. I live in NZ and don't even have access to that kind of altitude, but I can tell you that following day out on the trails, I hit the jumps harder, and railed the berms faster than I have I a while!

WOW....nothing but thanks for this one....

1st, Red Bull for fronting the cash, copters, and vehicles to get these guys to where they needed to go.
2nd, the RIDERS, what a friggen amazing feat of tricks, lines, and history.
3rd, the film-makers, thanks for your vision in capturing these guys dreams and putting it all together the guys from Dolby seemed to be pretty hyped in making the cinematography and music go hand in hand....awesome!

The narration from Dan was great to bring a real humble feeling into it, talking about the routes, destinations, and hospital visits. We tend to watch lots of movies with narration only to have a "guest" speaker, it was great to have Dan give his insight to all the clips and the journey throughout. Between this movie and the Art of Flight (I know, snowboarding) these are to AMAZING Red Bull sponsored vids. Good to see Travis Rice take a few moments in the interview section to prop his vid. Lots of shout-outs, DJ Jazzy Jeff spinning! Bam, so sad, honestly I was like "what the f**K happened to that guy", but then again, it's really no surprise if you've lived your life like that for the past 15 yrs Crazy interview, Sal, you deserve an award for keeping that interivew "clean".

We were expecting to just watch the movie, but really the interviews were a GREAT bonus. We had the computer linked up on the big screen at my house with a few friends and although it made for a later night than expected, totally worth it.

Last but not least, THANKS PINKBIKE!!!!

The movie was very good, I enjoyed it thoroughly. One critique, I felt it was a tad on the too serious side. Generally when I'm riding my bike it's more of a light hearted experience. The movie was lacking the "fun" aspect that I feel is captured in the Anthill Films. That aside, this movie was extremely well made, and I hope that all mtb movies will be made to this level of quality in the future.

And here I was thinking I was the only one wondering if a guy wearing nothing but a vest and a basket over his junk at a movie premiere reflects poorly on the sport. I'm happy to realize I'm not. Cam and Darren looked like ambassadors of a sport that wants to take it to the next level, but sadly were part of the few featured here that wouldn't fit in on the website Hot chicks with douche bags.

That was all in Vegas? Looked like some of the show you could see in the old Buckhead in Atlanta....
I for one was hoping for a bit more 9.2 surround sound wham bam!! The soundtrack was good, some decent surround going on but, still a bit too conservative imho.
Oh, and the narration started out very meaningful and I thought we'd get to something more deep... like after smoking a big joint or so, but it also was a bit light at the end.

Anyhow - Big D and co -> killer job, I've watched it 4 times since release day! Thats gotta say something.

Like every Derek Westerlund project, this is all about people trying to be "rock stars" and trying to sell MTB as rock 'n' roll. Stupid, lame, wasteful, and bad for everyone except "Big D" and the "rock stars" who star in the movies.

Q: Who cares if you got some "epic shot" of Fred Freerider doing a freeride flick in Turkey?

A: Fred cares, his banker cares, his girlfriend cares, and a bunch of 12 year old PB fanbois care-- a lot.
