commando- yeah it is kinda funny because everyone expects action sports athletes to have a very short career. Its also one of the more awesome things to see happen because it disproves that popular thought and gives hope to "older" riders, haha.

ya I always have 3 spots during the actual comp, and then some of it is from the practicing beforehand so I could get other angles too.

Great, another video that tells you who came first, second and third and pretty much nothing else. I would have thought that with all the video making talent there at the same time, one of them would have tried to do something different.

Don't lose ya hair mate, I know he did this by himself- I meant that we've seen edits of this event from other people and they've all followed a fairly stock format. Not discrediting the editing or filming.

Everyone kinda figures that people want to see the top 3 so thats why they feature them always and then have to figure out what kind of format for the other parts of the video. For all my slopestyle videos I always featured the top 3 like during the chorus, but everything else was always different for all the videos.
But what kind of other formats are you thinking could work? maybe just feature 1st place and then just show some of everyone else type of thing? what do you think?

Mate, that's a tricky one. I'm glad you can see that I wasn't having a dig at your work- I'm a big fan of the longer edit you just released. This event was full of crashes and not many of the top FMB riders even figured in most of the vids. It would have been good to see what happened to them. I was left thinking, 'So what about Semenuk, what about Pilgrim etc etc? (I was working and couldn't watch the event live online).

Maybe have a short intro with the FMB rankings shown, and then cross off the main competitors as they fell, leaving only the top 3. Then at the end show the rankings and where we stand going into the final events. You had to trawl the internet to find what happened to your favourite rider- almost like it was a bloody secret or something! I suppose it would have been nice to see an edit which covered Crankworx as part of a bigger story rather than solely focus on the one event. This years tour is super tight and makes for a great story in itself- I would have tried to take advantage of that if I'm honest.

Anyway bud, your vids are a league ahead of anything I'll ever do so you're probably in a better position to think of something than I am!
