ESPN is showing the whole thing. Well actually sometimes they show it on ABC as well. Im in the states so I dont know if you guys get ESPN or not. The slopestyle event will be broadcasted sunday.
Sick course- can't wait to see the world's best show what they can do... but...
How can slopestyle really explode when there's so few facilites of this nature that are open to the everyday rider? I know in the UK we are blessed to have some awesome Dirt Jumps, XC & DH but I don't know of a single place that could be truly categorised as Slopestyle. I'd kill to hit a line like this (ok maybe about half the size!)... I just hope that the exposure gained from this will mean that building such a course will be more financially viable through increased demand.
@Dylan- trust me, the UK would look like a f*ckin Ewok Village if it was that simple. I already work with the Forestry Commission to help run a DJ site in England. I've built north shore illegally in the past but our little country is too damned small so every square inch is owned and monitored- any wooden construction will be destroyed before you can complete the line! Unless you're lucky enough to have a bloody great garden or an uncle who's a farmer you're not going to get away with it. I spend more time digging than 99% of people on this site- and I love it- but I do occasionally wish I could get out the hammer & nails! That's all I'm saying.
I was a bit bummed.... The course had massive hits but looked like it was lacking in the flow department. It just looked real choppy when the riders were throwing down. Just my thoughts.
Wow. This course looks awesome....... for those guys....... I don't think majority of peeps here would hit that up, I sure wouldnt.... but MAN I'm gonna watch this soooo huge
check this out !
Subaru for the Win!!
