The North American leg of the series is now five weeks behind us as the series lands back in Europe for the final two stops. The first of which is in the spiritual home of Enduro, France. Richard Cunynghame brings you coverage of the event that is spread across two mountain towns and endless trails. The Maritime Alps are a perfect location for the Enduro World Series and the huge efforts from riders as we approach the sharp end of the season.
Really appreciate the improving EWS coverage, great work everyone involved. Would be really good if we could eventually have WRC style aggregated timing overlaid as the leaders come up to each stage finish to bring the excitement up yet another notch.
The EWS needed someone like Sam Hill so bad. I'm so glad he's focusing on Enduro next year, I completely lost interest at the beginning of the season. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, I just love his no nonsense 'shut up and ride' attitude! Nice to see him enjoying it too. Plus that bike is sooooooo sick.
Two legends - in Hill and Nico - battling it out is exactly what enduro needed. added bonus with Graves and you have the three most consummate professionals in mtb.
Shredling /ʃred-ling/: Semi-tall, fast and swift, hairy creature on two wheels - large testicles, mad eyes (on the prize) and bites hard. Resides in steep and loose terrain. Can win on flat pedals and in mud. Other examples: Danny Hart, Laurie Greenland.
Some decent bubbles after Whistler's poor showing with Freixenet. Cunny- best yet aside for the dubbing. Interesting edit on last stage. Sam Hill on YT for 2017!
Hydration pack - check. Rain jacket - check. Aluminum bike - check. Flat pedals - check. Ready for a trail ride in the Pacific Northwest ORRRR winning an EWS in France!
I`m fed up from this Enduro WorldWide Marketing Bullshit. A few years ago, there were All Mountain, Freeride and Downhill. Now, everyone goes to Enduro, nduro retiree class and all these marketing...
Way to go Sam!

RC, next time you interview Nico Vouilloz, ask him how to pronounce his name. Hint: the "i" is BEFORE the "ll".
