On Father's day Casey Grove's father got the best gift ever as he got to watch his son win the 2008 Air Affair in Whistler and by doing so Casey will be competing in the 2008 Crankworx event in August. Casey and about 50 other riders competed in the 2 day event to win a chance at going to the big show in August. Congrats Casey!
I am currently in a press camp up here and was unable to watch the event itself go down, but I made it over to the awards ceremony to see Casey and the other winners accept their prizes in their respected categories.
The Riders:
The Winners:
Once the first round of prizing was awarded it was time to announce the overall winner for the competition that would be winning an entrance into this year's Crankworx event in August. When the MC read Casey's name you should have seen the look of stoke in his face-I sware he could barely stand and walk to accept his winning he was so stoked!
After the awards it was time to hit the road for Casey and his crew from Kelowna. Here is a shot of him and his shinny new Transition TOP frame and his competition winning Double:
Casey is a member of the Pinkbike.com team and we're proud of his win at the Air Affair. Good work Buddy!
