Y'know Andreu has earned a reputation for style and charisma when a 1-minute, 4-hit clip all in slo-mo clip is posted and NOBODY complains. Nothing but stoke watching this guy ride.

I was thinking this also. wuuuurrrd

Just have to write Andreu Lacondeguy at the start of an edit and you know it's going to be really good and get a lot of views haha

That was probably the most style that could ever get packed into 1 minute of footage.

 key words *one minute*

and anyway that 2 minutes wasn't even as awesome as this one minute video...it was repetitive and got boring after a minute.

 BMX rocks & rules! VOD

This guy rocks - seriously talented and i love his attitude to bikes - some serious height and, sorry, but BMX looks so much cooler in the air than a dirt jump bike ... but thats me being bias as BMX was my youth ( were talking 80's here !!)

No front suspension so high in the air. First of all, ouch for when it hits the ground. And second of all, why? That's why it was probably only a one minute video. You should try getting back on a BMX now, and see if you miss that front suspension. So yea, a BMX is cooler when it's just as high in the air.

don't get me wrong, he looks cool a F on a DH bike to - the levels of awesome with this guy are high regardless - but i do like to see BMX fly, they look more graceful on jumps like these, DH bikes have their place and their own grace for darn sure

.. and screwe the front suspension of jumps like this - i think you need to watch and see more BMX in action - those guys can fly high and land all day long - its well established they can fly better then dirt jump bikes - BUT, before you let loose - this aint a bitch - i appreciate all -but im afraid BMX have it on the big jumps - dirt style ... discuss ... Wink

Props to all the no front end suspension people. I don't know how they do it (in adult life). I have a BMX and it feels rough to the upper body on flat ground, even landing a manual hurts and feels uncomfortable. They do need perfect trannys to pump the bike higher than a MTB though. If the perfect tranny is not there, then the MTB probably has the edge in the air.

@SithBike I think you're just bad at BMX... I ride BMX park and Dirt and I've LAUNCHED off of the sketchiest trannys I could find. As for the harshness, well, it doesn't feel harsh if you're staying relaxed and actually riding your bike correctly. As makthed said, BMX bikes just have the upper hand when it comes to air time on the jumps. I think you have it in your head that we're saying that BMX should be used for SlopeStyle, because we aren't. (Although the way the tracks have been made in the last few comps... BMX would probably be really fun too)

I have not seem many BMX'ers who actually look like men. Most are men with adolescent bodies. That's why they can ride the bikes with no front suspension and say they feel smooth. Just look at Lacondeguy face after he did those jumps for only a minute, it says it all. IMO of course.

BMX is the original dirt Jumper, and i am sure they will continue to be at the forefront of tricks and their progression.
+Almost all Dirt Jumpers, come from or have a lot of experience in BMX (Check out rheeder and semenuk's recent BMX clips).
+nicholi rogatkin is an inspiration to us all.
and everything else.

Buuut, I still see at as a sliding scale, With BMX (making more of less) at one end and then Dirt jump, slope, Makkendonia Type madness all the way up to FMX.

people who ride tiny wheels are not welcome here... (insert 26" rules wheel comment here)

@bike4life22, Juuusssttt checking, sarcasm right? Smile
  • 1 0
Bmx trails usually have near vertical landings so there's no need for suspension. That said, if you do land deep you're gonna know about it (spoeaking from experience).

 yes that was sarcasm Smile

Every bike looks big on him but yeah I was amazed to be reminded that he even makes a bmx look huge. He's built like a pitbull.
