VP Components (VP), a leader in bicycle pedals, headsets and bottom brackets has joined forces with Pro Enduro Riders, Ben Cruz and Marco Osborne to promote VP’s new clipless pedals, the VX Series. Both riders will compete in the upcoming 2014 Enduro World Series, California Enduro Series, and other International Races aboard VP VX Series pedals.

bigquotesWe feel that they represent the future top level of American Enduro riders, and it feels good for our company to support two serious contenders in the world of enduro racing.- VP's Brand Manager Erik Saunders

Ben Cruz and Marco Osborne have just completed filming a video on Tunnel Trail in the mountains above Santa Barbara, CA where VP’s USA operations are headquartered.

bigquotesIt proves the VX Series can handle a lot to have these guys mobbing down a world class trail like that, and hopefully they can both work together and have a great season of racing.- VP's Brand Manager Erik Saunders

Learn more about the VX Series here.

The VX Series is VP’s all new SPD® compatible pedal line-up. It features 7 different pedals and has everything from an entry level, loose ball bearing VXe, to a top of the line VX Adventure Race models which spin on Roller and Dual Sealed Bearings and offer a platform.

Marco is a beast, he won the Northstar dh on that bike, Northstar is far from being a groomed trail....

ya i have seen him shredding some of the gnarliest trails in marin on a trigger and hitting lines that i don't even consider

This just makes me want to ride, don't get me wrong I'm going out in the mud and pi**ing rain anyway but I wish it was dry and sunny like it is there!

Marco's a really nice and humble guy. He's going to really surprise peeps this year.

IMHO, probably one of the hardest trails I've ever ridden. That rock garden is no joke and they made that trail look easy.

Tunnel is like a 4 mile rock garden. Near the end when Marco and Ben jump 20 feet down the trail they land on more rocks. You are right that it's hard to appreciate the insanity of this riding without some reference of the trail itself. See you out there!

You omitted mr. Toads, blasphemy! Nice job Saunders, let's ride soon.

Yeah. I wanted to see these guys rip the toad's section too, just to learn a new line. I wasn't there the day of filming cuz I had too much paper pushing to do.

What's that fork on Ben Cruz's bike? Looks like a Rock Shox. Too slim to be a Lyrik, no black stanchions so it's not a Pike. Does he ride a revelation? Anybody knows? Just curious.

it's a lyric. you can see it pretty early on in the video

Lyrik and Pike do share 35 mil stanchions, though crown and lowers differ.

Cruz looked like he had trouble keeping up while staring at Osborne making that trail his bitch. Just playing but damn that dude made it look good.

Try riding a new trail at mach speed in the dust, right behind someone and just hoping he picks good lines. Add the constant stop and start of filming which is hard to get a rythem and its almost no fun. Been there and its not easy. That trail is McNasty and Ben's got skills. Always funner from the front.

honestly Marco is one of the fastest pros i know, its so hard to keep up with him on the trail.

They're reasonably priced, have a unique look (might not be your thing), and are one of the most popular helmets on Chainreaction Cycles.
