I guess "Just the Tip: Kids" didn't make it past the PR meeting

A nervous laugh/smile, because I feel like I shouldn't find it funny in the company of others, so the blatant laugh won't do.

Yeahhhhh Caitlin Wink Straight up shade thrown at SRAM eagle
  • 3 0
i was laughing so hard because the sram eagle banner was flasing above the video, and also because of guilt in thinking of upgrading another part of my bike instead of leveling up my riding skill set,

She knows Shimano is where it's at lol

“Have you thought about upgrading to SRAM Eagle?” “Uhhhhh....no.”

That about sums it up for most I think.

Awesome Vernon! we all could stand to learn about what is most important. Just ride what ya got and be stoked! Those kids are pretty lucky to be up in Whistler shredding. I don't think you were making fun of them, more at us over-priveliged consumers who keep buying what ever the big companies crank out year after year. Super cute "30 second bike check"

 Totalt agree Smile

Oh man haha I'm sitting here just crying I'm laughing so hard haha. Haha "it's hard not to tell you are sporting the long and low geometry" hahaha

Thank you Vernon, Thank you.

I keep telling everybody.... Pinkbike did a great job by adding Vernon to their staff! A breath of fresh air, something different than the norm. Hey Vern, keep up the good work!!!!

Bookmarked (for me to refer to every time I get the urge to "upgrade" to something I don't need).

That was awesome!!! My little guy just turned 4 and I have to say I felt pretty damn cool taking him for his first "Ride around the block" the other day. I can't wait to get him on the trails!

Oh, and his favorite thing about his bike.... it's Red!! Don't ask that I spent the good part of a month researching kids bikes, and hunted for another month on craigslist to find it...

The commenters have spoken, this has to become a reoccurring segment.

Reminds me of probably the best mountain bike pure stoke video I can recall: youtu.be/0qmQrEM5rVA

Here Here! All those in favor? Aye!

This is probably the best vid I have seen on pinchbeck in a long time! Love your work guys!

Hey Vernon: if you'd ask my daughter if she wants a 29er or Eagle, she'd say "what?" But if you'd ask her about a pink basket for the bars...

Super cool vid Wink

Cute kids. But Below the surface such a great statement about how our PinkBike comments are so wildly out of touch.

Fun factor is what really matters. Too many times we are looking what would make us more happy instead of just enjoying what we have. Thanks Vernon and Pinkbike for great timeless video

Such an awesome video. Us dads care more about our kid's bikes than they do. Get out with your kids on bikes and teach them how to shred!

Can't wait until my little groms want to ride!
  • 3 0
It's gonna be awesome for you when it happens. The best part of my week is riding on Sunday's with my daughter. So bummed we can't ride tomorrow cos I have a broken collarbone

My little grom is a 22 year old pro who now ensures pop only rides lines he can handle up on the mountain.

I was at Whistler in July and there were so many kids there. They're talking about who got the most air on A-Line and I'm sitting there wondering if I should hit Crank it Up.

Some great answers, just out there to have fun Smile

Henry: "Biking on huge stunts" (with heavy lisp) = the best.

If we all left more kid's personality inside our head while we getting older the world would become more kind. Hope that will happen some day. I think riding bikes helps with that.

 Best video today for sure

'Teach your kids to love bikes...and they'll never have money for drugs'...random Internet quote
  • 1 1
Pinkbike supports all this marketing stuff about brands, and parts. And then they made a video saying "Is not about the bike, it's about the rider" LOL!
  • 1 0
I like how authentic they are, they don't care about upgrades, they just want to ride!
  • 1 1
I know its against the vibe of the vid but what f*cking bikes we're they riding? Esp the first one.
  • 2 0
First few were rental fleet bikes. First two were a Norco Fluid 20", and a Giant Yukon 24" (special from Giant for Whistler).
  • 1 0
@waffleShirt: Cheers. I didn't think giant made a fs 24 and Norco doesn't sell a kids fs here in Straya.
  • 1 0
@choppertank3e: No worries. Bit of a shame isn't it? There's a huge market for it here with the likes of Lil' Shredder and Spawn Cycles. Hopefully someone will realise the potential and start distributing something similar back in Aus.
