Deity Bikes N Beer with Neko Mulally

bigquotesWhen the guys at Oskar Blues and I came up with the idea of putting out a short video, I wanted it to accurately show what I do on a daily basis. It was fun to throw some of the beer stunts in, but ripping down the trails in Pisgah National Forest and then finishing at the brewery for a beer with my friends is a regular thing. I'd say that riding bikes fast, checking out girls and drinking beer are some of my favorite things to do, and I think a lot of people can relate to that! - Neko Mulally

Anytime you use a Danzig/Misfits song in your edit, it will be 10% better in my eyes. Add a solid IPA like Dale's, and you've got yourself a winner.
  • 19 0
Haven't tried anything from this brewery (yet), but I hear that! More Danzig and more Misfits please!
  • 9 1
Now thats a soundtrack... so much better than disco. I do like me a bit of Danzig.
  • 22 2
Just to be that guy, Dale's is a Pale Ale but Oskar has released an IPA. They also make a killer stout; Ten Fidy. It's great that they sponsor Neko, I wish more breweries would get behind the sport of DH.

I concur about Danzig, I don't know why every edit doesn't have heavy metal. It seems so fitting.
  • 11 1
How can Pinkbiker's go from I want to hear hubs and birds to blaze the Danzig. What a diverse group of people we are.
  • 4 0
Loud guitars for me please. Although I would love to see a video with a Beefheart soundtrack
  • 1 1
Danzig really is really great to use for videos....

oskars chocolate coconut stout is awesome after a winter/fall shred fest!
  • 1 0
+1 @fartymarty tho what I really want to hear on mtb videos is Lightning Bolt
  • 6 0
down vote only because dales is not an IPA
  • 1 0
 And your bike is GONE!
  • 3 3
Yea Dale's does have a few IPA's and they are good. Their Pale Ale is on point too, so I have to agree with the sentiment here. @thuff4130
  • 2 0
the new OB IPA is amazinggg
  • 4 1
@DARKSTAR63 Dales is a Pale Ale, not a company. Oskar Blues makes it. They also make The ipa which is IPA, Deviant Dales which is an ipa, and Pinner which is a Session. Don't argue local beer with me, you will lose.
  • 1 0
totally agree!! Dale's IPA + bikes = win
  • 2 0
I'm not arguing, and what you say is true I forget that sometimes. So I concede. I do love their beers, guess I'm not as uptight a beer snob as you. Wink @thuff4130
  • 1 0
I suppose I'd also like to point out that aba and ipa's are really the same style of beer. Slightly higher ibu typically in an ipa but there is no solid line of distinction. Depending on the brewer, some pale's enter "IPA" territory and vice versa imo. It comes down to how it's marketed really.
  • 1 1
IPA stands for Indian 'Pale Ale' so yes pale ale and IPA are the same type of beer lol that goes without saying.
  • 1 0
Does is though? Wouldn't seem it with the flak @BrianK24 received.
  • 4 0
 @doek
Reasonably close. IPA is India Pale Ale...from the destination for this glorious invention. After all you can't trust the British enlisted men with the officer's gin.

@darkstar63. There is a distinction in that IPA requires a dry hop stage to truly be in category where a traditional pale ale does not. That isn't to say that quite a few IPA's are on the taste profile of a pale and that more than a couple of pale ales are being dry hopped these days. All lines are blurring.

One of the few things in the mountain bike world to garner more respect than a Redbull helmet: An Oskar Blues trail lid.
  • 17 0
If that had've been anywhere in the UK, his bike would've belonged to someone else by the time he high fived his mates
  • 13 1
Splashing water over a dude and then leaving your bike unlocked in front of him. Wonder if his bike will still be there when he returns.

Super sick riding and very nice filming and editing! Loved it! Beer

Also, Neko must have lost a bunch of weight, I thought it was Logan at the beginning of the video.
  • 2 0
I think everything up to 0:45 is at Bailey Mountain. I recognized the top and a few of the jumps.
