if ever there was a bike in need of the new manitou clown fork, this is it.
  • 8 1
 ^WIN! lol
  • 5 6
 Best post ever Smile
  • 2 5
i was just thinking that, "should have a clown nose and it would be complete". Although, the purple argyle looks pretty sick.

...do you mean the Circus fork? lol
  • 2 3
I second that. dope bike but would be better with the clown nose.
  • 2 2
 no shit
  • 2 4
Dude.. you made my day!! well.. not really. but sure hell that was funny!! Big Grin One of the best comments on Pb!
  • 2 3
do u guys think that the manitou is bad? or just appropriate dress code?
  • 3 2
I think the manitou is prolly decent. If Mike Montgomery is running it and not having any problems with it then it has got to be a good fork, he goes huge! Also, the clown nose would totally work on this bike.
  • 1 0
would be nice, but there are just too much different colours... I agree with black and yellow. And I'd add maybe a bit of red
  • 1 1
Clown nose, and a horn... Complete!
  • 25 0
Skittle's asked for a custom chopper from OCC but decided on a cheaper route through mountain bikes.

sick rainbow bike! Nice Work CRC.

 Holy homo rainbow batman!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! I like it!)))))) and price.....
  • 16 11
i wouldnt ride it but only because its two awesome. i would hang it in my room
  • 14 4
 YES for black paint.
  • 12 3
Is this a custom build for Punky Brewster???
  • 9 6
i see many people saying "go black paint!"...is it just me or black is getting a lil boring just like white?..i mean, dont get me wrong, i would still go with black then this reather old-fashioned white trend..but sometimes, or at least on some bikes i think black ist so obvious and..dead...lifeless...i have a black 09 Stumpy elite, and i love it...but sometimes i just wish it was in another colour..
  • 15 2
well no. black is black. its not a trend, its just a classic and it'll always be the best choice. Just ask yourself... what would Batman do?
  • 6 2
black with small touches of yellow
  • 3 4
wouldnt be that bad if it had black tires. i hate colored halo tires and so many bikes have them, but thats just my oppinion. sikk build!
  • 4 1
@Quinn-39 yeah black is classic...thats why i sayied, dont get me wrong, i like black, i even have a black stumpi...but, oh well..youre right, batman would go the dark way..
  • 3 0
i would feel like a retard if i had this bike to ride
  • 1 0
Oh i agree that colour isn't a bad thing... look at my bikes... i didnt exactly go out of my way for black spec. I just got what was best regardless of hue. But Black is nice and having Batman on your side is solid win.
  • 2 0
 batman, way to go))
  • 1 0
Sick bike but I wouldn't pay that much for a hardtail.
  • 1 0
that frame would go nicer, with pikes, deemaxs, and saint cranks...
  • 17 5
So, if you a super-special custom build, go to a massive mail-order only internet store? Discuss it and spec it only via faceless and nameless emails?
Or get better value, advice and service from a decent local specialist.
CRC s**t on the little man again.
  • 3 2
dude you just made my day
  • 2 1
not to mention most shops will price match, and the warranty work is much easier through a shop. mail order will be the death of the bike shop, and then all these little kids that can't work on shit will really be S.O.L.
  • 2 1
Point understood but times are hard.
  • 1 2
"So, if you a super-special custom build, go to a massive mail-order only internet store?"

CRC have a shop front, you can visit the store and purchase items face to face, if you so desire
  • 4 1
Yeah, if you live 30 minutes from CRC, go for it. But...

99% of all local shops will match or beat CRC prices. I wish people would understand that, and have the balls to visit an actual shop, using words, and cash, and personality.

Instead, they hide behind CRC and the 'cheaper prices' argument, which is totally invalid.
  • 2 1
i see what you're saying but thats not strictly true. A lot of small bike shops will do you a deal but most cant afford to go as low as a place like CRC because they dont sell enough. And when you're a kid scraping together the pennies to get a new bit for your bike you cant be blamed for going with the cheapest.
  • 2 1
I work at a small shop, and we will match any price above wholesale, plus shipping. you have to think about it as a quick sale, it doesn't cost the shop anything to order it on the spot, making 50 bucks less on a set of 700 dollar wheels isn't that bad if they don't have to sit around for 8 months before they're sold.
  • 1 2
i have two local bike shops in my town that can actually supply the stuff i need.... neither will price match or beat the price i always use crc
  • 1 1
the lbs's in canada cant get half the stuff crc has on hand, and they cant price match with crc,, crc buys in bulk.. its like trying to compeat with wal-mart... but it is only worth using crc if i spend over $250... then I get the free shipping
  • 1 1
how can they match or beat CRC prices? It is a good point though, internet shopping could kill local shops
  • 2 1
brit-100, 99% of lbs are not able to match crc's price, they can't physically do it. They do not having the purchasing power.

And unless you've never shopped in Tesco you have no right to bitch. What about the poor family run food shops? *rolls eyes*

Competition makes the world go around...
  • 1 1
my lbs buys there gear from crc how much of a pixs take is that? times are hard but damn thats shxt

Most proper bike shops nowadays will have a website with a catalog and/or a mail order service
  • 1 1
@robo- I don't know what shops you go to, but MOST shops do not have a mail order service from their site. I don't know of any shops in a 1000 miles radius of mine that have enough product on hand to run mail order. QPB in the states has a catalog of about 2000 pages, each probably listing roughly 25 to 35 products average... personally, I don't work in a 600,000sqft warehouse....
  • 1 1
I just looked at CRC for the first time, some of their stuff is an alright deal, like thomson seat posts, but I'd match that price no problem.... on the other hand, some things are actually MORE expensive, I've got 3 sets of easton ea30 bars at 20 bucks right now, that's $3 below CRC.... we're also $7 less on avid BB7's and $15 less on BB5's and that's standard, every day, full markup price. some other things: $31 less on a Marz 2010 DJ1 & $28 less on DJ2, I'm not even pricing shit retarded low.
  • 1 1
FACT bike shops are kept afloat by people who either can't(soccer mom who's 6y/o blew a tube up on a thorn)/ dont care enough to install shit them selves, add in that most people of this kinda dont know shit all about parts/compatibility.... If a shop has good service it will survive, the ones who dont will die. END
  • 2 0
Gsnickets, they beat most other UK shops though. You American guys generally get brands like Marzocchi cheaper over there.
  • 1 0
and we Canadians get raped on fox prices.... example the 2010 f120rlc FIT has a msrp of over 1000$ Facepalm and the float 36 is close to 1500 if not over....
  • 9 1
It looks like to me that Flavor Flave had a puked on a bike and this is the end result.
  • 1 2
 FLAVA FLAV!!!!! BLehhhhhh....
  • 9 1
hideous. i want to poop in my hand and throw it at the guy that thought these colors would be a good idea
  • 5 1
good idea, i hate bikes like this
  • 3 1
Dude if you pooped in your hand, your hand would smell shitty. I mean, sure, it would seem like a good idea as your target is getting hit with a steaming pile of shit. Then even watching the reaction would be epic, but when it's all said and done, your hand would smell terrible. You gotta think about the aftermath of these things.
  • 2 2
wow, that was kinda confusing. haha
  • 2 0
Fair enough. A little poop splatter would probably take away some of the 'gay' factor.
  • 8 0
total exaggeration with the colors but I get the point...
  • 4 1
i really dont understand the fad of all these bizarre colours on bikes. i can understand one or two parts of your bike having funky colours (like having coloured chris king components or some straitline levers) but having your whole bike a mish mash of colours is just weird. almost as weird as guys these days wearing tight jeans and pink shirts....
  • 11 4
Awful color combo, but nice parts.
  • 4 3
Wy do people misunderstand the point of this thread? Its not that this bike is going to be like this, its more that you can customize all of the colors on the parts of the bike like you want it to be. Not something pre chosen on a specific model. Typical that people just look at the photos and comment from that, and not from whats actually written.
  • 2 1
not mu cup of tea really but its the point they are trying to make plus once the display is over they make split the bike and sell the parts at a very reduced rate lol ( thats a hint if they read this)
  • 1 1
I think it looks sweet as fook and totally different. I don't see why everybody's giving CRC aload of shit, there a good company. They had to start out at sometime you know, they will of been a small local bike shop once. Now they've made it and now there making it easier for people to get there hands on stuff your local bike shop can't, i use both my local bike shop and internet company's, best of both worlds i say.
  • 3 1
i don't think anyone's hatin' on CRC. I love CRC myself and call on 'em as well. The bike just turned out fugly for some of us. I get that they're showing p&a color options. it just looks like an emo clown rides it.
  • 4 2
you gotta be a hell of a good biker before you ride this bike , cause you'd look soo stupid if you ride that bike and can't pull any decent tricks
  • 1 1
Love it or hate it, whats the deal with them bragging how much EACH part cost, totaling somewhere around $2400? At the end of the day any hard riding or huge bail out is going to put serious hurt on it like any other bike.
Glad they just built it for show...
  • 5 1
elton john is sponsord by evil?
  • 2 2
Clever... Very clever. I enjoyed that.
  • 2 0
Dude!!! I was just thinking of building up a Evil faction frame! YES! ...I think the bike looks awesome, and i also like black bikes too okay!?, to satisfy all you gothics.
  • 3 0
Lol you'd better reunite the clown with his ride and send him back to the freaky circus...
  • 3 0
If theres one thing that bugs me on a bike.

Its different colour wheels & tires.
  • 2 2
How is it ordering from CRC if u live in Canada? I live in Vancouver and wonder how hard you get hit with duties, brokerage and other things? Also how long does it take? They have some wicked prices on things though...
  • 1 1
You get hit with nothing... I never have.. Ordering to Canada and Japan.
  • 1 2
They usually ignore anything with a value of $200.00usd or less. Unless of course it's tobacco, or anything else the government wants to tax. Sometimes they'll tax you if it's over $200.00, sometimes they wont, sometimes they'll just open it. You never know.
  • 1 1
ordered some bits that were just under $200, no duties or anything and came in under 2 weeks, highly recommended. unbeatable prices/selection as well.
  • 1 1
Not sure why they bothered to give the cost of the Faction frame in USD since they can't ship it outside the EU. Likely would have been better to go with a frame they could ship to North America like the Chromag Monk.
  • 4 1
that bike is disgusting! it's so ugly
  • 4 1
 my point exactly
  • 4 1
sick. looks like candy land puked out a dj bike.
  • 1 1
Do you all not understand this ?? it's to show people that chainreaction has allmost every color for your bike ... it's for their showroom so I don't think they gonna sell it Wink
  • 1 1
nice frame i personally dont like the whole "rainbow bike" thing but thats just me i loke my bikes with tqo or three main colors that pop not every single one in the color spectrum
  • 4 2
i wonder how many people ring up crc and say "i want to order a new bike, you know that bike you put on pinkbike......"
  • 4 1
That bike looks like a god damn bag of skittles!
  • 4 1
nice to look at but u would look like such a twat if u rode this !! Smile lol
  • 2 1
i cannot believe that ride is for real , everyone loves a bit of pimpness in their ride but thats soooo o.t.t . not for me am afraid

the parts are all decent but all those different colours on one bike??? naaaaahhhhhh not about that
  • 2 1
they put the chain on backwards.....since its a shadow it will break easier
  • 5 2
they put the chain on backwards??? yeah, i want them workin' on my bike!! yikes!
  • 1 1
Hmmm maybe this is why they're now taking so long to dispatch stuff and restock. Not been too impressed with CRC from my last few orders with them
  • 3 1
cool, but probabally the fruitiest bike i have ever seen
  • 3 1
they invented a word for moments like these...FUGLY
  • 1 1
I think it was built simply to demonstrate the possibilities of CRC's bike customization service... rather than with good sense or taste in mind. Pretty mad looking though.
  • 2 1
way to many colors, sick spec list though
  • 3 1
 Pippilangstrumpf !!!
  • 2 1
So colorful.Make me a little dizzy
  • 2 2
i wouldnt mind a competition to win this cool bike but u would look like an idiot if u couldnt ride it well
  • 1 2
Honestly, I dig it. I wouldn't turn down a set of black grips/tires, and probably a regular chain, but it looks amazing and is a solid build.
