Don't own a Chromag but I do own a Production Privee Shan hard tail with #26aintdead wheels. 10 years after I started biking on a hard tail I'm back on one and loving my riding again. It's now the only bike I own. I'm also 38. Yep old guys can ride hard tails. Buy a steel hard tail. It will change your perspective on riding life.
You know what you are right I'm selling my car and getting a horse and carriage. Who needs innovation in technology. I'm sure it will change my perspective on commute as your hard tail has changed your perspective on riding.
Dobar danerdadh. No, you are not! I ride a Cotic BFe, my mate a 2008 Enduro. The Enduro is awesome but nothing puts a smile on your face like a long travel Hardtail. DO IT!!
OR keep the Enduro for summer riding and get a hardtail frame for winter, then just build up whichever you fancy riding for a few months.
I switched from a specialized SX Trail to a Chromag Stylus. I had a so much fun on the HT and never regretted my SX. Then, I had to sell because I wanted to do some races, and bought a trek Remedy instead. When I moved to the USA, I bought a Chromag Aperture. I don't regret my Remedy ! But I'm going to have a second bike for Bike park days
Conclusion : Hardtails are so much fun, you won't regret it, unless you want to have only one bike for both bike park and Trail.
@erdadh and one for slopestyle, and one for dirtjump, one for XC, one for road, one for freeride, one for pure DH... And each one in each different size of wheels
I Never have a seen a man with a scruffy beard on the trail that isn't an insanely good rider. Will growing a beard make me a better rider? or is the beard something you unlock for acheiving expert level skills.
I may Invite a random hipster to come riding with me one day just out of curiosity to see how good he is at riding.
Bought a swanky carbon trail bike. Then bought Chromag Samurai. Now im selling my trail bike. I find it hard to describe why I love my Chromag so much... But I just do.
160mm here. puts the HA at just shy of 66 and seat angle at 70. looking into a travel adjust fork to help with climbing. no joke, haven't backed down from any DH trail yet. Might not be as fast but def as much fun and so good at sharpening my skills. first got on to chromag watching Jinya vids. That guy's crazy good.
Thx for the video! I kinda regret selling my Surface but the hard tail was trashing my old bones. So I sold it to someone who really appreciate the craftmanship. We went through an interview process so that I could figure out if he would appreciate it.
i just picked up a Surface, i only have one ride on it...but it was a fun rip. i was wondering how my body would hold up. what was really apparent on that one ride was that my style will have to adapt.
I'm still riding the Surface that you sold. Your regret was my best decision @Satn69. My dually AM has been gathering dust all year. @vonP, hope to meet up soon and do a ride.
Fungus freak- one of my best decisions was to sell to you. I'm glad you are still riding the Surface. Hope to see you soon in the trails or at the LBS!!
My riding career began some 20 years ago, on Fromme, on a steel Kona hardtail. Those misty, wet technical trails defined the person I am today. Loved this video. I will be returning to my roots this spring. I'm buying a Kona steel hardtail (Honzo!)
Siick! I love hardtail vids!
I think there should be a Full-Sus bike rider's license where you're only allowed to ride one if you can go this hard on a hardtail. Earn your rear suspension travel! I definitely wouldn't have that license yet... haha!
You all need to check Chromag's website. Amazing hard tail ripping in their vid section. Maybe someday I'll get a Chromag, but right now I'm pretty pumped on my NS Eccentric. Sold my yeti to get my dream fork, wheels and frame. Nothing better than a hard tail
Lets drink to the hard working people. Lets drink to the lowly of birth. Raise your glass to the local goons. Lets drink to the hardtail riders.
Say a prayer for your common poor rider. Spare a thought for his back breaking work.
Hard tail shredders are the salt of the earth.

hardtails are not bikes without rear suspension, they are just bikes & a method for our radness. skill progression, flick-ability and smiles on our faces are always at 5 star ratings.
I've just been out on my hardtail. It's my 'go to' bike for 90% of my riding. I'll throw it down steps, off drops and pretty much anything I'd do on the sofa (full sus.)
Ride with a hardtail : that's a real ride with simplicity ; very sympathic pilot finishing his ride under the sun ; i did'nt see the "antiderailleur" !

General point: MORE HARDTAIL VIDEOS PLEASE!!!
