Last I heard IH was just dead, and they were selling patents to other companies like airborne.
Pretty surprising a single Canadian company owns c-dale, gt, and mongoose. Why bother and do it that way? Why not just have each company focus on one thing and do it the best? Mongoose could get the Walmart spec I guess, c-dale the xc-am bikes and gt the dh. C-dale could handle road development too I guess. Instead they have each company make a while range. Seems wasteful.
I'm all in!
Jk, he's an awesome rider!
But hey, why try thinking about something before pissing and moaning about it? Talk about annoying...

The Teocali shares design and engineering with lots of other 4 bar frames that people drool over because of the company name. If a person can't get past the label on the frame to actually look at the quality of this bike that is being given away, then
that is a personal issue. If this same exact bike had a boutique brand name on it, the responses here would be completely different. This bike is legit, and I would happily ride it. Winning a bike speced the same as one ridden by one of the most creative riders on the planet would definitely make for a cool story to share. All bikes are awesome for someone.
On second thought, you are right. This bike is terrible. You probably shouldn't enter to win it.
Honestly I felt the same way as many of the posters on here in concern to Mongoose as my last Mongoose was a loop tail BMX in like 1987. The contest appeared on FB and the Teocali frame instantly reminded me of a Giant Trance. Of course I entered the contest and did a little research on Mongoose in 2015. The trance is FAR out of my budget and I give Mongoose a lot of credit for putting out the Teocali and Bootr for those of us who work blue color jobs.
Bring this to Europe, i would be ready to pay for the delivery if you cannot
....and to add to the irony, Chris is a BRIT, no?
.....and I guess even if I was American, I still couldn't enter, because I have not sipped the Facebook Koolaid
Eh...it's most likely just a re-badged, off-the-shelf frame from the Taiwan bicycle source catalog. I highly doubt anyone at Mongoose (aka Dorel) is sitting around making manufacturing/engineering decisions.
