Imperium frames can accept shocks with either a 9.5 or 8.5 eye-to-eye lengths, and can be set up with either 212 or 178-millimeters of rear-wheel travel.
The Sea Otter Classic has become one of the most important venues that smaller brands use to launch innovative or new products. Corsair brought its proto Imperium DH bike for display - unpainted and adorned with black "Prototype" decals. Reportedly, an earlier version of the Imperium was ridden at the Red Bull Rampage by Cam Zink, who had good things to say about its handling and performance. The latest iteration of the aluminum-framed racing chassis is only waiting for finalized paint and graphics before it will begin to ship.
The Imperium's aluminum rocker axles are machined with large, drilled heads that are threaded into place using an Allen hex wrench and then fixed with a small Allen screw that indexes into the head's circumference.
Corsair refined the compact, dual-link suspension from its six-inch-travel Konig to extend the travel to 212 millimeters
(8.25 inches) and adjust the suspension curves for 27.5-inch wheels. Armed with a Cane Creek Double Barrel shock, the Imperium can be configured with either 212 or 178 millimeters of rear-wheel travel, and is designed for 200-millimeter-stroke forks. With a 63-degree head angle and a 325-millimeter bottom bracket height
(12.875-inches), the Imperium should hug the ground at speed. Reportedly, the suspension leverage rates and shock damping remain consistent between the short and long-travel settings. Corsair pegs the MSRP of the Imperium at $2800 USD including the Cane Creek DB Air shock. Frame sizes and actual weight TBD.
Corsair Konig The six-inch-travel, aluminum-framed Konig was one of the few 26-inch-wheel AM/trailbikes we could find on display at the Sea Otter classic. Corsair was making friends with it.

Dayum son, that's more slammed than a wrestling match for the soap in jail.
(Getting slammed to get slammed in the slammer)
It looks so much better having it come out at the right angle (about 45 degrees anti-clock wise in this example), all that's needed is to undo the banjo by a quater turn.
Edit: Oops. Badbike beat me to it a few comments down.
What does that mean ?
Who's the moron deeight ?
Don't be a grammar nazi if you can't write a proper sentence yourself.
Moron ! Nobody cares to read your whining you bitch.
Why would a paragraph be "required" in a comment section ?
Get a life and please take Waki's advice and just end your constant bitching and pointless long winded comments about back in the day. You didn't invent bikes or mtb 'ing.
All of Pinkbike would be a better place without you.
And the "I've been here longer than you" ........so what. Do you now have some sort of superior rank ?
You would cry if you got removed (because Pinkbike is your life) while everyone else would rejoice - I'd probably be ok. Probably.
Maybe you can ask some of your mod buddies to ban me . You seem to have lots of fans.
You really think people on this site respect you ? And more so because your a "plus" subscriber ?
Wow , Pinkbike has respect for sale for the low price of $30.
Again , your sad ..... so sad. Now go ahead and have the last word Gandolf.
