Dam.... Troy making that look too easy. I have been very fortunate to have chances to ride with alot of pros local and a few world class. Already know they make everything look terribly easy while we white knuckle trying to keep up. He is the local so more preasure but would not be suprised to see him with the win saturday.
Specifically - there are no player controls, no way to view in a full size monitor window, and no way to select the streaming quality. I.E. Red Bull must believe that the vast majority of their viewers are using small format smartphones to access their site, so why bear the cost of delivering 1080p when the average peep is only 'seeing' 480p on their tiny screens. At least that is my theory. ;-)
@ad15: I am running a current PC build on Windows 10. I have tried both Edge and Firefox with the same lack of player controls. So, if you have controls then it is probably a common plug-in that I need to update. Thanks!
@Kerplunk: no worries, I'm watching it on a mac using safari. which surprises me as normally PC based media players are the first things to not work on mac.
I was thinking he looked slow and out of sorts in a lot of spots. Especially with Troy blazing through seemingly without much effort, I'm thinking this track is a tad quirky, at least for Claudio.
It's because this time the Frenchies weren't around to dig out all the mud from between the take offs and the landings. That's how they are, those Frenchies!
@csyhoss: Feel for ya. Tore mine last August. I'm not getting it fixed until I can stand 6mo off the MTB. Surgeon is my riding buddy. Pain is only weakness leaving the body.
Claudio is so awesome! I think he does the best job of anyone in the MTB video world or relaying his excitement when he cleans a jump or obstacle. I could watch his vids all day long.
@Potok: this track is in the wet tropical bit of the country. At a work project of mine just south of cairns we get approx 3000mm of rain per year on average.Of course most of that falls in the wet season between nov and march
If it stays dry, I have a feeling this truck is gonna jump up and bite a few guys come race day. Their gonna be pushing hard and this track looks to favor consistency.
It was interesting to hear Claudio describing the sections of the track from some of Troy's input (e.g. recommended line choice, where the track may be won or lost)
Claudio is normally reasonably fast on the previews but he genuinely struggled with this one. Troy was playing about big time with whips and skids......or maybe Claudio was just dodging Drop Bears........
Im australian and this is probably the worst world cup venue ever. Theirs so many more place in aus which woukd be much betger for not only dh but xc!!!
best rendition of all time.
or is it "hippie trail , head full of zombie?"
He was six foot four and full of muscle...
...says basically anyone behind Troy.
