Want to be a pro freerider? All you have to do is be one of the best in the world, ride through injuries, and perform in front of 30,000 spectators at Whistler's Kokanee Crankworx.

One of the most exciting gravity fueled events happened over the last nine days in Whistler, B.C. and we were right their, front and center, to help support the biggest and best in the world. With the close of Kokanee Crankworx, comes the end of racing for over a thousand competitors and a victory that’s close to the SRAM family heart. We rode the rollercoaster of winning and injury since 2004 with Cam Zink and after two knee surgery’s and multiple “bumps and Bruises” in the road, we can only hold him high and celebrate his step to the top of the podium. Congratulations to Cam on an amazing run, in front of 30,000 spectators.

Moves don't get much bigger than this. Cam with a three off the judges tower. Cam spent a lot of his run spinning either upside down or side to side.

To the winner goes the spoils! You can bet that Cam was a happy man.

It feels like putting all of the emotions and injuries of the last 4 years of hard work into a high interest account, and I just cashed out
Cam Zink

Top step of the podium, top of the world.
Top step of the podium, top of the world.

Cameron made it home earlier today and is already preparing for RedBull Rampage. Cam is no stranger to the Utah desert and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the table!

Someone should check this article for spelling and grammar......my goodness! Great story though, he seems like a super classy guy. I love it at exactly 1:17 in the video when all of a sudden he's like 'whoa what am I doing this must look so gay' and stops right away haha. Great capture.

I hope Taylor Sage didn't make that last video as the music was terrible, and his stuff for Sram is usually pretty good! Good footage though!

The video is missing his front flip off of the wood kicker to dirt right after the pink whale tail. Thats the trick that put him in number 1.

it's true. no special tricks just 360s and flips. montgomery whipped the big drop and his run was a lot better.

Lacondeguy told me he wasn't riding becuase the jumps were too small (go figure). Pilgrim went out early. And Strait was in the Sram tent all week.

Lacondeguy is a crybaby. It's always something with him, it's too windy, the jumps are to small, blah blah blah. You get paid to ride, shutup and do it. I'm sure there are tons of kids out there that would love to cruise around the world riding rather than working at Mcd's.
