The past two days here in Colorado Crankworx have been very wet. The rain does not want to pass. The riders have been able to practice, but it always starts raining and soaking the Slopestyle course. Also the wind associated with storms has been making it hard for riders to practice. The event schedule has been changed up for the weekend. Today is going to be a great day! The rain here at Crankworx Colorado has been relentless! However the riders have been able to practice the course. The qualifications were supposed to be on Thursday, but due to the rain the riders are all in the semi finals on Saturday. The action on Saturday is going to be intense. The riders have been always cut short of their practice because of the rain. Not like a little bit of rain, but thunder and pouring rain. Here is a pic from the hotel room after practice got cut early.
The rain does not stop!
The riders are all in the semi finals Today. The weather is awesome. No clouds in the sky and the course is drying out great. The way it's going to work is that all the riders will get two runs and the top ten advance to the finals. There are no pre-qualified riders, so everyone needs to think about getting into the finals. In the finals each rider will have one run to show what they have to win. So today is going to be a long day of excitement. Stay logged on to Pinkbike.com for all the action.
