 I have to disagree with the second part of this statement! This was a very disappointing crankworx. No climax, only one new looking trick and that was lacondeguys corked-no footed-backflip.

Amazingly they did less than last year with similar hits!! not one person did a backflip onto the kokanee step up where last year there were backflip on/frontflip offs of the exact same reused feature.

Maybe I'm asking too much for advancement in the sport but I feel it was an overall letdown to what should have been amazing.

the kokanee fruit bowl was not the "exact same reused feature" from last year... it was tighter this year with less of a flat bottom in between the landing of it and the take-off of it. i hope this will help to change your mind a bit because the contest was super sick

Don't know if there's any difference, but if there is, that might be the excuse.

 from what i could see it seemed like the jump on to the kokanee box wasent the same as last year seemed more laid out.

 yea the step up on was a bigger gap this year too. and to missingwhistler, no one flipped onto the kokanee box, but they DID flip onto the giro box which i thought was really sweet. didnt think id see that

Plus if I remember, last crankworx, u had so many lines to chose from that entered you into the kokanne kicker. This year there was only one way down to the kokanne kicker, just different lines on the features. Plus I only remember seeing 2 Dirt jumps, and if I remember last year, there were loads!

I found the judging was quite off as well, take Darren berrcloths run, he tricked in every possible place, went higher on the Kona wall than anyone else, did the log ride, that no one else took, for what? 85.50 If I remember rightly, please correct me if I’m wrong! I agree with the judging for Greg watts and Brandon, but the claw should have easily been on the podium.

Crankworx has always been great to watch, but I think il skip it next year.

Well done for the slopestylers, other things can be said about the designers!

 Not trying to be a dick, but Berrecloths run wasn't a winner. He's an awesome rider, goes big and keeps everything silky smooth, but in a contest like this, you kinda have to have the tricks.

 I thought berreclothe should have been easily on the podium too. I'm bored with flips. His airtime on the konawall should have scored him much higher.

 i agree on the backflips ... yawn. need more points for style and not just for all these bmx tricks. but, there was a wind out there and the big sram gap was just not in the cards for the day unfortunately ... that thing is big but definitely doable. i thought maybe today one of the pros would give it a try`because it was nice and calm this morning. it might be too tight from the kona wall ride too to get enough speed for the gap ... we'll never know ... ah well, slopestyle was a disapointment, but the festival and vibe was sweet!

 Yeah right Watts is a sloppy mess that just busts hein tricks with no style sure he went big but semenuks style, skill, and confidence when riding should have given him gold he tricked just about everything and did some huge stuff that none of the other riders did.

 aparantly evreyone has an opinion but in my mind i cant conceive how you think semenuk should of won. whats threw down a 3whip off a drop and a truckdriver of a midcourse drop,just has the course so dialed,and did by far the biggest tricks on the drops,with huge tricks on the jumps. his score was 96 for crying out loud.
