Did you hurt yourself at all during the filming of that Danny?
"Yeah my hands are really sore from all the hi-5's"

Am I going crazy or was that a fakie backflip????
  • 2 0
 @fecalmaster: it was a fakie roll-over-your-back drop.

 Great job!

Awesome. But a little sad they didn't have the part where he went under water.

I agree, that was a great part of the video, I was for sure looking forward to seeing that!

Worlds worst video player at it again (loads 360p same speed as YouTube 720p).

Every one of his fails is still more skilled than I'll ever be... if you think "Woah, this video is impressive", Danny's just about to do even more breathtaking stuff.

I would love to see Danny Mac and Chris Akkrig doing a vid together!

Go watch Road Bike Party 2!

@theorifice: Are they really riding together or just in separate sessions? I've found some clips with Danny Mac, but not Chris Akkrig.
  • 3 0
@cool3: Separate sessions, they jumped in to volunteer finishing up the edit because of Martin's accident.

Honest question: wouldn't 27.5+ bikes be really good for tail-trails riding like what Macaskills and Akrigg do? They have tons of low speed grip.
  • 2 1
That's actually a really good question. I wanna know too! They probably are.

As someone who has been trialsing for 6 years and who owns a plus bike, plus tires are too bouncy, flat to easily, have no sidewall support, and are not stable enough for trials use. Size vs maneuverability also plays a role.
  • 1 1
@Lt-Scallywag: Even if you run them at slightly higher PSI? I'm just comparing to moto trials; they have big bouncy tires with thin sidewalls compared to trail motos.
  • 1 0
@hamncheez: The higher psi gets rid of all of the grip. A supportive normal sized tire just works much better.

 THE HUCK-FLIP!!!

 Serious skill and determination!

And I insist: is "yeah boy!" the new "far out"? Sounds really... silly.

Fantastic but I think I am having a POV induced nausea. :-(

 one word: WOW

I think he's got a new genre going - Parkour on a bike.
  • 22 4
 It has a name, trials.
  • 2 2
 @tlilly: street trials #pedantic.
  • 6 0
@tlilly: Of course - but what he does isn't exactly trials now is it? . They don't ride hay bails, tumble over on their bikes, slide across logs, do front end case flips, etc...
  • 4 0
@neimbc: You've got a good point actually. Danny is awesome, always inventing new tricks and out-doing himself.

Honestly trials refers to modified trials, and considering he isn't even on a trials bike and most the stuff he's doing isn't standard modified trials stuff, I feel like it's a totally different style of riding that we have not really see ever before
  • 3 0
It's manifesto style trials, no setup hops, like what Ryan Leech pioneered. Mixed with street trials, trials cross
BMX-street, mixed with trail freeriding and Danny's imagination. Manifesto free ride trail trials sounds kind of shit.
Trail trials? Free trials? Skill trials. I give up too hard.
